Republican leadership in Congress is in trouble. Last week a poll showed that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is the most hated national politician in America, with just a 19 percent approval rating nationwide.
Now, a new NBC news/SurveyMonkey poll finds that House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., is just as unpopular as Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Ryan is viewed unfavorably by 63 percent of respondents, compared to the 64 percent who hold the same view of Nancy Pelosi.

I love it! Let's introduce the term into the national vocabulary.
That certainly is a possibility, as well.
At the least, we should have 1 less swamp rat.(Strange)
At best it could be a Throw The Bums Out election cycle.
It has happened before. We are due for another.
I guess we will see what the future holds.
Wave good by to the RINO’s in the next few elections if they don’t get busted first.
Ryan could be in the thick of Hurricane Harvey and he’d STILL have to wet his finger and stick it in the air to see which way the wind is blowing.
Ryan is disgusting. A real a-hole.
He tries hard to be completely feckless.
And succeeds... or maybe he just plain sucks, without the seeds...
It is not complicated. Overwhelming percentage of voters (95%) do not know how their congress representative voted on 95% of the bills. Career politicians win elections is by Ads on TV & Radio. They depend on ignorance of 95% of voters.
That is why the rich donor class gets what they want, always. It is not because they have lot of votes in elections. It is because they fund lion’s share of campaign expenses. As an example, just 4 rich donors contributed nearly $40 Million to the Cruz for president campaign.
Yes Yes Yes. But keep in mind the lying gets known through TV & Radio Ads funded by the rich donor class, who benefits with the cheap labor express. Without that money the lies would never see the light of day.
Because BIG contributions from BIG donors make it possible for the BIG names to become BIG by BIG ads on TV.
The’re DIRCs!!
I agree, the sources of money encourage them to lie. They are like circus animals who perform for the ring master.
For some strange reason, voters seem to accept TALK as action. The politicians know that and they are very good a verbal gymnastics, twisting facts, and rhetorical posturing. After all, most of them are lawyers whose stock in trade is words.
What we need to do is stop listening to their lies, their pious pontificating, and their deceptive palaver and demand tangible results. Produce or else you’re gone. But we don’t do that. We tolerate, and often believe, their disingenuous talk and theatrics. Then its rinse and repeat until the next election.

We all know the reason why the status quo will NEVER be changed for ANY elected office, down to dog catcher...for the same reason.
No State is going to reign in D.C., no local vs. State...etc.
I arrived in this country 57 years ago as a post-graduate student in engineering. I swear the people I came across 50 years ago in USA seemed smarter, less addicted to various addictions except smoking cigarettes, not so obese, and dressed so much better. Yes, the public teacher’s union has been extremely successful in dumbing down America. Only one improvement today compared to when I arrived is less people smoke cigarettes. But every other aspect is worse.
