Uh-oh: Paul Ryan is as unpopular as Nancy Pelosi
Conservative Review/Breitbart ^ | August 31, 2017 | Chris Pandolfo

Republican leadership in Congress is in trouble. Last week a poll showed that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is the most hated national politician in America, with just a 19 percent approval rating nationwide.

Now, a new NBC news/SurveyMonkey poll finds that House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., is just as unpopular as Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Ryan is viewed unfavorably by 63 percent of respondents, compared to the 64 percent who hold the same view of Nancy Pelosi.

They also stay in power by lying their asses off. They have found out that you can fool most of the people most of the time. It is up to us to change that.

... We EXPECT them to do their job, or be replaced with someone who will...

That’s what those elected promised to do. That was in 2012, 2014, and 2016. But, once they get sworn in it’s another story entirely. Campaign promise amnesia.
It’s like Wash, rinse, dry, repeat.

Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader have become crap jobs under the current state of affairs. The Speaker of the House has been chosen for that job because he or she is representative of the opinions of the Majority, as of yet I have not seen evidence that ANY member of the minority party was instrumental in getting the Speaker of the House elevated to that post. likewise with the Senate Majority Leader, chosen from among the peers for sometimes the absolutely wrong reasons, because of seniority, in most instances, and with a large measure of personal charisma that does not translate into leadership.

The Senate Majority Leader was chosen to provide regular vacations from the exhausting 3 day “work” week.

Pelosi had guts. Ryan has none. Pelosi is principled in her evil. Ryan has no principle. Which is better? Neither. Which is more respectable? Unbelievably, Pelosi. Ryan is a sellout who never was sincere about being a conservative. It is the only way Republicans act on the national scene these days.

I don’t care about % across the U.S., what’s the tally in THEIR State/district??

Sorry, FRiend, but who’s going to be sounding the clarion call?

The MSM?
The (R) Party??

IMO, Cantor (and now, possibly Flake) are blue-moon events.

Most of the sheeple haven’t a care, “My party GOOD, opposition, BAAAAaahhhhd”

I’d love to be wrong, but I’ve seen too much ‘feet to the fire’ brigade to be optimistic.

>Why does popularity matter to stay in political power?

Sorry, but even the donor class has but ONE lever to pull come election-time.

Why is it in a packed-field the ‘big names’ (party backed, bigger war chests, long(er) time in office) have the higher % out of the gate?

Even if the (R) vs. (D) were split, ideologically, 50/50, and a 3rd party came along @ 75%, most sheeple are so conditioned for the own Party plantation, they’d STILL go w/ whomever the elite foisted as ‘THE one’.

“He and McConnell STILL haven’t realized that WE want them to push Trump’s agenda through....”

Oh, I think both of them KNOW what WE the people want, it just that it is counter to the “agenda” of the GOPe elites and the US Chamber of Communists, and they are the ones that are paying for their “keep.” And I hate to think we have to wait until the mid-term elections to take our measure of the House and Senate to make the point with them that we are indeed in charge.

At the very least, Pelosi FOUGHT to push their agenda. Ryan folds quicker than cheap lawn furniture.

That’s why got OBungholeCare in the first place - and why we still have it in place.

She’s vile, and he’s spineless.

Trump at 42% approval.

What politician or political entity (like congress) has a higher approval rating?

I’ll wait.

That’s because he works for Pelosi, the RATs and Amnesty pimps.

I don't know been thinking lately for some explanation why at every turn Ryan sides with Pelosi, against Trump and against his constituents.

Maybe in Ryans family the wife wears the pants and is a feminazi Trump, hater, possible? Its either lobbyists/money or family life.

This coming election cycle could be shaping up and a throw the bums out election cycle.

Stay registered R, its the only way to weed out the "moderates" as our representatives. As much as we loathe them, its the only way to make a change, which we have across this nation. 35 states now have R Governors.

I hold Nancy Pelosi in higher regard than Paul Ryan. Pelosi tells me that she is my enemy and acts accordingly. Paul Ryan tells me that he is my friend and then stabs me in the back. UniParty protects itself.

Roy Moore may win but the shockwaves you predict won't happen. Yes, they'll be upset inside the beltway. But they'll console themselves by saying "say, didn't Trump support the loser in this race? This shows he and his agenda have no support, no coat tails! We need to double down on our obstructionism and undermining or we'll be next!"

Bet on it.
