In a sweeping defeat for Obama-era holdovers at the U.S. Department of Justice, a federal court has tossed out a case in which the department had subpoenaed a Christian pastor’s views on Islam.
The Islamic Center of Culpeper, Virginia, had already won a favorable settlement in its Obama-aided case against the city, which agreed to provide a permit for the mosque to pump sewage from a site where it wants to build a mosque, even though state environmental officials had said the site was not suitable for a septic system.
But that wasn’t enough for the lawyers who staff the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ. They wanted to make an example out of rural Culpeper County. How else to explain forcing a local pastor and other locals who spoke against the mosque at public hearings to turn over personal documents that would reveal their views on Islam?
Pastor Steve Harrelson of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church was the main target in the sights of the DOJ, which sought bring him before an inquisition-type hearing, forcing him to testify about his opinions on Islam and also deliver up to the government his personal papers and documents.

These lawyers are mostly either schedule C or A appointments which means they basically serve at the pleasure of their boss. All that is needed is a phone call or e-mail notice. How simple is that!!

Sessions should have stayed in the Senate where it’s normal to get nothing done. Can you imagine what he could be doing if he was as devoted to President Trump’s success as Eric Holder was to Obama’s?
Sessions is hiding behind a barn with a flashlight and whistle waiting arrest a couple of kids trying to sneak a hit off the half burnt remains of a joint someone tossed out of a car.
Also, we learned on OAN yesterday that DOJ went against Trump on him wanting to overturn the Johnson Amendment.
Again, Sessions stabs Trump in the back. It’s important that the Johnson Amendment goes away! As far as I know, no other news outlet has covered this which is, if true, horrible.

Very disappointed to come to the realization that Jeff Sessions can not seem to walk and chew gum at the same time.
Typically, he was known for no grand standing, keeping his head down and doing his work.
As AG, he has mostly just keeps his head down. Crap.
He has had a few important street victories on gangs and deportations for sure, but the hold overs are still running the place on crushing freedom.
McCabe is still on board. No one has been dismissed. Certainly, consequences among Justice or FBI hold overs have not one time been delivered against them during the rampant Obama/Holder/Lynch abusiveness.
IMO, I’n beginning to think that tve deep state has some “goods” on Sessions, just like they had the goods on John Roberts. Sessions is being strong-armed into being a cipher.
