The employees of Glenn Becks Mercury Radio Arts and The Blaze, the privately-held companies that comprise his once thriving but now crumbling conservative media empire, suspected something bad was going to happen Thursday morning when they arrived for work at the suburban Dallas, Texas, production complex and noticed the extra compliment of security guards.
By the time Beck himself spoke to his dwindling army of underlings as one of his personal bodyguards from Gavin de Beckers celebrity protection service stood watch, nearly 60 of their coworkers had been abruptly fireda body count that amounted to almost 30 percent of the workforce, according to estimates compiled by shell-shocked survivors.
In the 53-year-old Becks self-pitying essay on both Medium and TheBlaze.comYou might have noticed that recently something has been bothering me, he sharedBeck calculated Bloody Thursdays casualty rate at just over 20 percent of the combined workforce of Mercury Radio Arts and TheBlaze (with most of the changes happening at TheBlaze).
A spokesperson for Beck said he had no comment beyond his written statement.

I got off of Beck’s emotional, drama-filled rollercoaster years ago. I’m glad to see its finally coming to an end.

Beck was once entertaining and funny.
He started to take himself too seriously.

Glenn has definitely jumped the shark.

Hope not. The world is better off w/o him.
And he can give up the trademark for Mercury Radio Arts which is an insult to the memory of Orson Welles.

I've only listened to him a few times...and that was long ago.I found him to be basically lacking. And that was long before his Never Trump schtick.

I live in the same basic area as his studios. We’ll survive without him somehow.

His abusive snarky and vicious Friday morning phone calls turned my stomach. He is a nasty rotten man. And his snarky cohorts too.

I used to be a Beck listener years ago, but his anti-Trump crap totally and permanently lost me.
If I thought I was the last person left alive in the world, and all of a sudden I heard Beck's voice coming in over the radio, I'd turn the radio off.

He used to be okay, years ago. His radio show was quite humorous, thanks to the routines by his writers.
Then he started to get preachy. And changed his theme music.
And I stopped listening.
I just happened to tune in last year in the middle of his guest's virulent anti-Trump rant that Beck let go on and on until the break.
Next thing I know, Beck's no longer on the local radio station. And a lot of other stations as well.

He risked, he lost, now he's got Cheetos.

It’s too bad. His analysis of gun running by Hilary and that she was working to cut off Russia’s oil market were brilliant.
He should have stuck to those kinds of things.
