Judge orders feds to release details of FBI’s Clinton email probe

A federal judge ordered the FBI Thursday to disclose more details about how it handled its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s secret email account.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg said court papers describing the grand jury subpoenas the FBI obtained to compel information from Mrs. Clinton’s Internet service providers can be made public.

In doing so, he overruled objections by the Trump administration that had insisted making the information public would violate grand jury secrecy rules.

“After reviewing the document in camera, the Court concludes that it largely rehashes information already made public, thus obviating any need for secrecy,” the judge said.

Two groups, Judicial Watch and Cause of Action Institute, have been prodding the government for more information about the Clinton emails, and they cheered the judge’s ruling as a victory for transparency.

Sessions did not recuse himself from anything having to do with the election did he? My recollection, just having to do with Russia.

Nope... "Having concluded those meetings today, I have decided to recuse myself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States. "

Here's his statement:

They can’t release the emails without prosecuting Clinton.

This has to be done and when the truth surfaces, be damned who has guilt written all over them. PROSECUTE! Let the chips fall where they may.

So how was her email probe related to the campaign? That’s the real issue. It was not campaign related. That’s what the democrats continue to claim, that it was campaign related, but it was not. Her email illegalities were not campaign related, but occurred long before anyone announnced their election intentions. Saying it was is partisan and campaign related concurs that it is a political witch hunt, when in fact her actions were illegal and unrelated to the Presidential campaign. The current Justice Department should stand firm and not acknowledge that such an investigation has anything at all to do with the campaign, Sessions included.

Yes I totally agree. As always what’s in those emails is probably worse than anyone can imagine.

"I understand what you're saying but articles were written that state the opposite."

Ill informed articles if so. I also saw people just taking the words wrong. That decision really wasn't, "is the public interested". It was, "is it in the public interest". Those are two entirely different things.

Also, the decision only said they hadn't demonstrated the pubic interest. Not that there was none, but that they hadn't shown one. For all I know they didn't bother to make the argument that it was in the public interest.

Man Sessions is such a disappointment kinda seems like a lazy dufus. I'm assured otherwise - I heard he died a couple posts ago. He really should resign you'd have to be a total tool to realize you didn't screw the president. Now it looks like he wanted to. So sad he was my last remaining hold out for on decent person in the senate.

America deserves a DOJ who has their head is in the game all the time, not riding the bench on the biggest hoax going down. If I were he I'd be embarrassed but politicians are immune from such flights of decency.

Elmer Fudd thats who he reminds me of - what a loser - sad

As understand, the DOJ is still riddled with Obama holdovers probably still doing Obama’s dirty work.

But Hillary Clinton’s emails and the Clinton Foundation were not “the campaign.” They concern her criminal operations while a public servant and Secretary of the DOS.

Sessions has been collecting a government paycheck since 1975... that's 42 years. His first loyalty is to the establishment... regardless of his intentions, that's pretty much baked into his soul at this point.

Making things worse, he has been a Senator for the past twenty years... the swamp creatures in the senate are his "friends". Any attack on Hillary is a threat to all the crooked senators... since she would sing like a jaybird and they all know it. They all have a lot they need kept quiet.

Trump’s FBI Director was confirmed a month ago. The question you should be asking is why is Trump protecting Hillary?

We are being played.

Yikes - his career is starting to get bad eyesight and its back is going.

Way too long

But Hillary Clinton’s emails and the Clinton Foundation were not “the campaign.”

His statement said "campaigns"... plural. She ran the other campaign (besides Trump's) so that implies that she's off limits too. Any prosecution of her would be construed as some sort of revenge against her, especially given all the footage they have of people at Trump's campaign rallies chanting "lock her up".

Yup. The Judge ordered the FBI to turn them over. This is and was in Wray's hands ever since the FBI said there was "no public interest" in releasing them.

They can’t release the emails without prosecuting Clinton.

That would be true if the emails were private.

The email in question is related to government business while she was a government employee.

The email is government property even though the email was on a private server in violation of Federal Law.

Yes. I am just saying that releasing the emails would defeat the purpose of the cover-up. Those emails are evidence of profound criminal behavior and once seen would demand criminal prosecution. Don’t get me wrong I want them released. It is unbelievable that our government has been 100% taken over by leftists or else someone would have leaked them by now.
