Never thought I would see the day when Liberals whined about fewer guns being sold.
The headline falsely frames this as Trump is ruining the gun industry....
Trump supports police protecting all citizens... that’s a factor.
I know... you see all kinds of ammo now, even 22! its still a bit high, but at least its there...
“down about 4 percent from the same period a year ago”
After the last 8 years maybe it’s because more people already have them than need them. Ya don’t have to reup every year there Howie, mines good for 7 years.
OR maybe people feel just a little safer now that obama is gone.......never thought of that did ya Howie. What a maroon.
I went to the Indy 1500 gun show this past saturday.
Prices were very competitive, but ammo reloading components were insane. Cans of powder for $22 - $25 (about $20 per lb for 8lb jugs). Bullets and printers were $2 to $5 lower. Good news for those of us that shoot our guns.
Each and every day so very many journalists prove that their profession has intellectual and moral standards that are, well, right down there along that of politicians.
From the article:
“The gun industry, though, appears to be taking a hit with his election”.
>><<
Nonsense. Most people already have ammo and guns and are simply being prudent and selective in new purchases.
It’s down because people don’t feel their rights OR their lives are in so much jeopardy as with commies like Uhbama.
....Gun and ammo prices have dropped faster than Hillary Clinton on Veterans Day!...
Now is the time to add to what you have before the next Democrat all out assault on the Second Amendment. And that isn’t just speculation.
Gun sales peaked before the election because of the probability of Hillary being our dictator.
Salesman of the Year is out of office.
I just bought a .308 Winchester and a nice little .22 Semi Auto Pistol yesterday. Couldn’t resist the price on them.
Of course I couldn’t actually take them home. I have to wait ten days to exercise my Second Amendment Rights since I live in Commmiefornia.
I hadn’t bought any Firearms for a number of years here, and I discovered that both Firearms will be Registered with the State.
I also had to take a 30 Question Written Test to obtain a “Firearms Certificate” ($25 and good for five years) and had to do a Safe Firearms Handling Test with a qualified Firearms Instructor to show I wouldn’t shoot myself or others by accident, or something.
The DROS Fee was $30. Looks like the Government makes as much as the Retailer does on the Sale.
I love the smell of Freedom in the morning.
The same people who write about a ten percent budget increase one year followed by a nine percent budget increase the next year being a “budget cut” must have written this article.
Sales down because 1) the Terrorist in Chief Soetoro’s evilness caused sales to soar and 2) we, the people feel safer with Trump, a real leader, in charge.
As viewed through rose-colored lefty glasses. IMHO gun sales have dipped for two main reasons: 1) everyone who could stocked up before the election, figuring Hillary would push through draconian gun laws and 2) with DJT, there is no pressing need to add to ones arsenal given #1. But these clowns try to spin it that DJT has done a bad thing for the industry. Hey, with any luck, DJT will “depress” the ammo industry too, he said hopefully :)
Throw a bone to us gun owners who have been loyal GOP voters for a long time now.
Lots of us would love to purchase SBRs. No real reason to restrict them in the first place.
OTOH -
I have heard reliable reports that the LGBT crowd has become very seriously interested in their Second Amendment rights.
Not to gross you out further, but, “Politics makes strange bedfellows”.
