The 2017 regular-season is less than two weeks away and Colin Kaepernick remains out of work. Depending on who you ask, the reasons vary from "he's being blackballed by the league because he knelt during the national anthem last season" (as a form of protest against social injustice, it should be noted) to "he just hasn't played well enough the last few years."
Rev. Jesse Jackson firmly falls into the former category. On Friday, he said during an appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher" that NFL owners "have colluded" to keep Kaepernick from playing.
"They have decided not to have him play and he should have the right to play and express himself at the same time," he told Maher, adding later, "He's not burning the flag, he's not hustling drugs to teammates, he's not shooting people with guns."

If he had thrown for 14 wins and 2 losses in a season then he could be caught in bed with a dead woman or a live boy and the nfl would be chasing him with 30 million dollar contracts.
It certainly would not be the abysmal 2016 win-loss record — 2W and 14L.
Every team in the NFL wants a QB with that kind of outstanding record.

I hope they did collude...f JJ and CK.
Now I see he's only been delegated to the back burner of the race-baiting industry, along with his pal, Al Charlatan.
They've been replaced by the Black Lies Matter crew.
But this interview revealed that apparently his brain is dead instead and has preceded his final demise.
I do wish him well in that endeavor. Soon.
You make a really good point. At its most basic, the NFL is nothing more than another form of entertainment which people can partake of, or not. If you have someone that p!$$es off half your fans and makes them actively NOT to buy what you’re selling, it’s smart (not racist) not to bring them into your entertainment.
Ewwww.. I didn’t really need to know that...thanks anyway.
The dude is a walking nightmare. It would be idiotic for any team to sign him. They would be under constant scrutiny and instant judgment from the left and right. Pure distraction. Pure foolishness to hire that clown.
No one in the media or the NFL will say it but Kapernick is too dumb to be an NFL quarterback.
I think there is a lot in a name, don’t you colon?
He wants a huge amount of money to be a back up quarterback.
And, he’s a pain in the ass.
What’s not to love?
The only thing unselfish that Jackson ever did was whisk away the woman that had been sleeping with MLK, Jr that morning after MLK, Jr. was shot so they could protect the MLK legacy.
If Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers gave Colin 1/2 of their Talents, Colin would still be toxic to a team...
No, Revrum, owners just haven’t been desperate enough for a quarterback to have a posturing agitator of dubious talent on their team. Especially with a lot of other talented young QB’s out there who are hoping for a shot. But seeing a Klansman behind every bush has been a lucrative career for you, hasn’t it?
Jesse JACKSON...JACKSON! Named after Andrew JACKSON? He should be banned from public speech. He’s got a “racist” name.
While we’re at it, let’s ban Shirley JACKSON-LEE, and burn all Michael JACKSON albums.
There’s lots of black people whose namesakes are WASHINGTON, and JACKSON. Weren’t they “slave owners”?
high standards there Jesse...
“he’s not hustling drugs to teammates, he’s not shooting people with guns.”
That would be an EEOC complaint. As in
Eventual
Elimination
Of
Caucasians
You tell em, coach.
Ol’ JJ is and always was a despicable SOB.
NFL's a business. They wouldn't 'buy' an offensive white person either. Only Hollywood has enough money to 'give the finger' to half the American people EVERY SINGLE YEAR...
Or it is a decision they all logically came to - we get protests if we play him and it isn’t good, protests if we bench him, protests if we don’t put him out front, protests if we don’t endorse his latest protest hard enough. So just don’t hire him because he’s freaking toxic.
Call him a victim of his own success. They’re afraid of his supporters.
