I am sad Lemmy has left this world.

Hawkwind kicked him out naked and stoned one night in Canada.

He got up brushed his **** off and formed Motorhead...

That is an interesting question.

In the 50’s a lot of Jazz aficionados despised Rock’n’Roll because of it’s simplicity, even though both Jazz and R & R have their roots in the Blues.

What we now call “Classic Rock” might have been more to Gershwin’s liking, with jazzy chord changes and thoughtful lyrics.

Just as I posited that Cole Porter may have liked Steely Dan, I think George Gershwin might have liked ELO, The Moody Blues, Blood Sweat & Tears, Journey, Yes, and Emerson, Lake, & Palmer. Maybe even Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

I don’t think EITHER of them would have cared for Beyonce, though! LOL!

I think there would have been a natural affinity between Gershwin and McCartney. As George approached his 90th birthday, he and Paul would have performed a dual show in Las Vegas.

He would have penned songs for Sinatra, Tony Bennett — and had he lived long enough — Lady Gaga.

Yes...Paul writes songs in the tradition of clever romantic repartee that would fit nicely with Gershwin.

Lady Gaga would have to wear a Kosher Meat Dress for that.

Bacon ain’t kosher. Corned beef, pastrami, beef brisket — that’s another story.
