James Damore Is Preparing To Sue Google, His Attorney Wants More Employees To Come Forward
Hot Air ^ | August 23, 2017 | JOHN SEXTON

James Damore, the Google employee who was fired earlier this month after writing a memo critical of the company’s progressive culture, is planning to sue his former employer. Business Insider reports he is now being represented by a civil rights attorney known for involvement with the Republican Party:

[Harmeet ] Dhillon’s confirmed she is representing Damore to Business Insider. She said her firm is currently gathering facts about his case, but no lawsuit has been filed yet.

A national committeewoman for the California Republican party, Dhilon was in the national spotlight when she delivered a Sikh prayer during the 2016 Republican National Convention. She also served as the vice chair of the California Republican party.

Hiring a woman attorney is clearly the smart way to go in a case where Google claims the firing was about “perpetuating gender stereotypes.” Dhillon’s firm is also asking other Google employees to come forward with similar complaints. A blog post on the firm’s website reads in part:

Have you been:

Discriminated against at Google based on your political views;
Been written up for “un-Googly conduct” for refusing to comply with the political orthodoxy at the company; Retaliated against for complaining about employment discrimination at Google;
Defamed/slandered/smeared/blacklisted at Google for your political views, or views about affirmative action at Google; or
Punished for blowing the whistle on illegal employment practices at Google?

If so, our firm is interested in hearing from you, both on a fact-gathering basis and for purposes of potential legal representation.

Dhillon recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of college Republicans at Berkeley after the school offered Ann Coulter an unfavorable time to speak during the so-called “dead week” when students are preparing for finals. In response, the school argued it was placing reasonable restrictions on speech because of genuine security threats. Berkeley claimed the threat of violence, not opposition to a particular viewpoint, was what motivated their decision making. As I argued here, the fact that violence was only being threatened by progressives against conservative speakers and not the other way around resulted in a de facto Heckler’s veto on conservative speech.

Here’s a Fox News interview with Dhillon about the Berkeley lawsuit:

Damore is not taking this lying down, and he is helping to expose the fraudulence of the progressives' "diversity" talk.

Here is how you can replicate their idea of diversity:

Go to the office supply store. Buy many different colors of paper. Thoroughly intermingle the paper, mixing in all the different colors.

Now, print 100 copies of teh same document.

Different colors, all saying the same thing. Liberal diversity.

I hope he wins billions and starts up a competitor to Google that eventually leaves Google in the dust

To Google employees:

Go. For. It.

You have nothing to lose but your chains.

Dhilon talked with John and Ken on KFI radio yesterday. She is tough as nails.

She talked for 15 minutes about how employees can “Un-Google” themselves by rejecting attendance at gay parades, supporting Trump and rejecting attendance at global warming meetings.

She also said that Google attracts the brightest from college who can leave for other jobs. And she said Damore wrote an essay after attending numerous diversity meetings.

People need an alternative to Google. I am using Microsoft Outlook 365 which is nice.

I had liberal history teachers; they’d all pop HUGE boners when they lectured about TRUST-BUSTING.

Their eyes would almost roll up into their heads, in ectsasy.

ROBBER BARONS BAAAAAD...!

But now if you own 1/2 of Kauai and make a personal hobby of throwing Disgusting Brown Hawaiian Proles off your land..?

Just spout off about Guaranteed Income and Walls Are Bad..!

Yeah, just drone on in your 2 Minute Hate, and then you can KEEP raking it in, BIG TIME..!

Same same for Oracle of Omaha Warren Buffet —loudly lament that your secretary Pays MORE in taxes than I do..!!!

And then they’ll just leave ya alone, sure.

EARN THE BIG BUCK$$$$$...!

Talk Commie ALL the time..!

I love Bing; and the daily ‘presentations’ when you go there - (I don’t know what these are actually called) - are a lot more interesting and educational than Google’s ‘doodles’.

There are several ways we can show support, as conservatives, for Damore.

First off, uninstall Google Chrome. Replace it preferably with Brave. Brave is a web browser that was started by Brendan Eich, the former head of Mozilla Firefox, who was fired after being boycotted by leftists for donating to traditionalist marriage groups. Eich then started Brave, which doesn’t track your browser history like Chrome does, which prevents the Google machine from keeping tabs on conservatives that could be later used to blackmail us. Go to brave.com/download to download it.

Next, stop using the Google search engine. Bing is a good start, but Qwant is my preferred one. Qwant doesn’t keep tabs on your searches like Google does, so just set your home page to Qwant.com and use it in the same way you would use google.

Third (if possible) switch your recreational (or professional) email from gmail to protonmail. Protonmail is based in Switzerland and fully encrypted, preventing Google from keeping tabs on what emails you receive and also what publications you’re subscribed to. If you’re subscribed to the Breitbart mailing list, Google has a record for that. If you’re subscribed to the Daily Signal, Google has a record for that.

We’re on Linux, and have been using Duck Duck Go.

But this reminds me of something I’ve noticed: for the past few weeks there’s been a yellow ‘content blocked’ sign at the right side of the URL bar whenever I’m on FR - it was never there before. Has anyone else who uses Linux noticed this?

I can’t figure out what it could possibly be ‘blocking’ on FR...

Quant? I use Firefox and cannot locate this as an add-on. Must I surf with the Brave to get Quant??

Thank you for protonmail. We avoid Google as much as possible.

Harmeet (Kaur) Dhillon. Sounds like a Sikh name.

Good for her. She sounds like a tough one, and I think that’s what Damore needs.

Thanks. I hadn’t heard of Qwant, or Brave. I’ll have to check them out.

What do you think of Opera? I like having more than one browser available. (For one thing, that way I don’t have to log into and out of my mailbox and the one my wife and I have jointly.)

Never used Opera myself, but I have heard good things about it from others who do. I keep Firefox as my back-up in case of any issues with Brave.
