Amid calls for her resignation, a Democratic state senator in Missouri on Sunday said she made a mistake for posting on Facebook Thursday that she hopes President Donald Trump is assassinated.
State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal — who has said she isn’t resigning over the post — apologized at a press conference streamed live on the Facebook page of the Clayton Times, a St. Louis County newspaper.

She made no apology. She said a it was a “mistake for posting on Facebook”. In other words, did not apologize for her statement, only for posting it on Facebook. Typical liberal “apology”
Not sure saying you HOPE something happens to someone, even the president, is a crime.
The FBI has already stated so. And they take into account the setting in which it was said.
That being said, I HOPE she doesn’t get kicked out so conservatives running in primaries and generals can use your picture as the poster child for the dems.
Republicans and conservatives have LONG not been interchangeable. Sad but true.

Notice in her apology, which is basically all about her, she never says once: “I didn’t really mean it when I said I hoped Mr. Trump would be assassinated. I didn’t really mean it at all. That would be horrible!”
She says nothing like that. Instead it’s: “Boy was that a mistake. Not doing that again!”
That’s mighty white of her.

Right. She won’t resign, the Republicans will let it drop, the media will sing her praises and the next time a conservative says anything even slightly controversial, Pelosi and all the dems will demand his/her resignation.
I wonder if Washington has any idea how sick we all are of the double standard in this country. If there is not a return to at least some semblance of basic fairness, all hell’s gonna break loose pretty soon.
