Folks, we are not far away from a time in which Google and other search engines make sure the world never knows we (and Free Republic) exist.

There will be no record left of our stances and others who think like us will feel alone and isolated, too.

If we get to that point, it won’t matter.

I don’t use Google for searches because their results are slanted hard left and I don’t get what I am looking for.

Interesting!

Where is the conservative research into machine learning?

How do we counter Google suppression (if that’s the result of their work)?

I suspect that machine learning could help election strategy and tactics. A lot of data exists for training.

I haven’t used google in years. However, the verb “to google” (meaning to search the Internet) has unfortunately become part of the American Vocabulary.

I use duck-duck-go, and always can find what I am looking for.

I use https://duckduckgo.com instead of google search. I ditched android phone (for Microsoft windows phone, a relatively better company). I use pale moon web browser. Use Linux mint for my desktop.

First, to Jim Rob: I am so happy I contribute to FR on a monthly basis. I feel proud being a part of this wonderful organization.

Now, to this article:

Hey Big Brother, you smiling yet? It appears your wildest dreams will be coming true soon. You have my promise I will fight you tooth and claw on this issue.

I can think of a number of corporate entities that need to be fractured just like Humpty Dumpty, and their politics are irrelevant. They are far too big and powerful and have too much monopolistic control. They need competition from others in their market to keep them honest and the only way to accomplish that is to break them up. Facebook and Google having influence over the whole world are not representative of productive economies of scale.

I happened to be using the Google Chrome browser the other day when I was googling something on FR. Nothing came up. I tried the same search on DuckDuckGo and then in Google on Safari — and it worked just fine.

I smell a lawsuit or two. A nice rise in employment for some basement dwelling millennials. Sue the deep pockets and short the stock.

They should snuff out data editors. This is supposed to be about machine learning.

Don’t feed the beasts - avoid Google, Facebook, Amazon, Starbucks as a matter of self preservation.

Switched to DuckDuckGo a while back - probably a lot cleaner as far as the links that show up.

Is Google Working with Liberal Groups Snuff Out Conservative Websites?

Google has been telling us about this for nearly two months now.

Is nobody paying attention?

At the beginning of the month I posted YouTube's statement STRAIGHT FROM YOUTUBE THEMSELVES that they will now be hiding "controversial" (i.e. conservative) videos that offend liberal sensibilities but do not otherwise violate their policies.

An update on our commitment to fight terror content online (Youtube will hide controversial videos)

It garnered practically no interest.

People, this is serious! Google has the power to silence conservatives not by banning their media but by basically making it so nobody can find it.
