Not sure about Hammerhold, but yes, for sure - the ‘countries’ were intentionally developed to split up tribes, so as to keep the countries from becoming strong. Think Kurds...same deal there.

I hope some of it goes to help the hungry but having watched the problems there for many years, I am certain most goes into the pockets of the President and his cohorts. Hopefully the USAID money will be given a healthy cut.

A really great read is Alexandra Fuller’s, “Don’t Let’s go to the Dogs Tonight.” Her parents were white farmers & she grew up around it all. It was exhausting just reading how hard her parents worked and struggled just to survive.
Just a really great read & very informative.
