A second Kissimmee Police officer has died after a Friday night attack on law enforcement.
Sgt. Richard “Sam” Howard died Saturday from gunshot wounds he suffered when he and fellow officer Matthew Baxter were shot during a routine stop in the McLaren Circle area, according to a department spokeswoman.
Baxter died Friday night shortly after the shooting.
Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O’Dell said the officers were investigating three suspicious people about 9:30 p.m. near Palmway and Cypress streets when a “scuffle” broke out. That’s when police say Marine veteran Everett Glenn Miller, 45, shot the officers.
The officers — who were wearing body armor underneath their uniforms — did not have a chance to return fire. O’Dell said “it looked like they were surprised” by the gunfire.
Miller fled to Roscoe’s Bar at 2344 N. Orange Blossom Trail, where Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives found him about 11:30 p.m. When the officers approached him, Miller reached for his waistband — but a fast-acting deputy tackled him to the ground and arrested him, O’Dell said.
“Extremely brave and heroic actions by the deputy, there were other pople in the vicinity,” O’Dell said. “They went hands-on, tackled him to the ground and secured him [and] located a a 9mm and .22 revolver on his person.

I’ve been reading some comments and tweets from these Antifa folks and they are so hate filled it’s shocking. And they dare call anyone else haters! At least in the 60s the hippies pretended to be for peace and love.
That makes 12 officers murdered by “black lies matter” supporters, not counting civilian citizens and the msm still calls them peaceful.

This scum sucker is an ex-marine at best. Wonder what type of discharge and re-enlistment code is on his DD214, if they still issue that particular form.
I know several Marines in the 40 to 70+ age bracket.
They are Marines, not former Marines.
If this murderer is a former Marine, he got a less than honorable discharge.
I wouldn't trade one day of a full complement aboard (LPH-11) laying about everywhere and buying up all the ship's stores for anything I've done since for Veterans. It gave me great pride to launch them off the deck in the CH 46's and 53's and be their sea-going bellhop. I've worn that label with pride since to this day.
