A second Kissimmee Police officer has died after a Friday night attack on law enforcement.
Sgt. Richard “Sam” Howard died Saturday from gunshot wounds he suffered when he and fellow officer Matthew Baxter were shot during a routine stop in the McLaren Circle area, according to a department spokeswoman.
Baxter died Friday night shortly after the shooting.
Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O’Dell said the officers were investigating three suspicious people about 9:30 p.m. near Palmway and Cypress streets when a “scuffle” broke out. That’s when police say Marine veteran Everett Glenn Miller, 45, shot the officers.
The officers — who were wearing body armor underneath their uniforms — did not have a chance to return fire. O’Dell said “it looked like they were surprised” by the gunfire.
Miller fled to Roscoe’s Bar at 2344 N. Orange Blossom Trail, where Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives found him about 11:30 p.m. When the officers approached him, Miller reached for his waistband — but a fast-acting deputy tackled him to the ground and arrested him, O’Dell said.
“Extremely brave and heroic actions by the deputy, there were other pople in the vicinity,” O’Dell said. “They went hands-on, tackled him to the ground and secured him [and] located a a 9mm and .22 revolver on his person.

We had a case a while back where the newspaper reporter said a pit bull attacked someone. He did not even make an appearance at the scene of the incident. When asked how he knew it was a pit bull, he said because someone told him they heard it was a pit. Turned out that the dog was a completely different breed. No retraction was printed.
Before anyone goes postal on me, the dog is not the point. The so called reporter and publication are. Neither of which was the least bit embarrassed.
I’m not going to assume he was a bonafide Marine until I see some reputable attribution.

I just would love it if for 3 days, the “Blue Flu” set in and no LEO patrolled Black areas, and in the event of any crime calls there, no one responded.
If there was a choking baby, certainly respond.
A burglar at the door or “I was just robbed!”, the response would be; “Sorry, but we’re very busy right now.....”

What is the overall incidence of this and is it getting worse or better or the same? Remember our drama queen media is fond of such stories because they are topical to the kampf du jour so to speak.
The wise will assess the overall situation as best as possible before offering their hair to known fools to be lit on fire.
Trump must show that he understands that black people are angry before he can credibly introduce them to a better way to be angry — to be angry at the forces that have misled them.
