The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross and Susan G. Komen on Friday joined a growing exodus of organizations canceling plans to hold fundraising events at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, deepening the financial impact to President Trumps private business amid furor over his comments on Charlottesville.
The major exits now mean eight of the clubs biggest event customers have abandoned it this week, likely costing the Trump business hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost revenue or more.

Catholic Charities is one to never give to. Christmas mall trees are a scam. We quit giving to the local nursing home after the aides rummaged through our gifts to the residents keeping them for themselves. You can’t trust anyone these days. I’m down to only giving to our VFD.
The Salvation Army USA Facebook page has several comments against their fundraising at Mar-a-Lago. I don’t know if their other social media has been similarly affected. Would this play a part in their decision? Who knows?

You're right. And joined at the hip with the abortion industry. You can understand why: Since inducing an abortion increases the mother's chances of breast cancer by 40 percent, if abortion on demand weren't being enforced by the 9 blackrobes, America's breast cancer rate would go down about 40 percent, and the Komen Foundation's revenues and officer salaries would plummet.
I had no interest in the Red Cross or Komen, but had more faith in the Salvation Army. I guess beyond my church, donations are now down to USO/Samaritan’s Purse/St Jude’s.
The only one I gave to. Not anymore.
Six Flags over Texas park got a call from me a bit ago. They’ll never see another dime from this family for removing the Stars and Bars from their six flags. Of course, they aren’t answering their phones so had to leave a message.
..cut off nose...spite face!
Me too.
At one time, we have to American Cancer, Komen, Boy Scouts, Red Cross, Salvation Army. Not any more.
If they apologized, it would be too little too late. Sorry, once on my ban list, always on my ban list.
the Komen group had temporarily suspended its donations to PP but backed off due to political pressure. I don’t give to Komen or any outfit that pushes hot pink ribbons in October. I will donate to the Avon walk for breast cancer.
Thank you for the link.
If Salvation Army hears from enough of us, perhaps they will reconsider the wisdom of this move.
I like to donate for the holidays like Easter, T-day and Christmas to buy dinners. Your idea of socks and gloves is a great idea.
I’ll never drop another coin in the red bucket...or write a check to my church if part of the money goes to Red Cross.
Amazing.
Could hurt, could help. I assume these are local chapters so it depends on how many Floridians get upset by the decision. Time will tell.
“So much for me giving money to the Salvation Army anymore.”
Yep, I had planned on giving a big donation to the Salvation Army next week. Now it’s going to a local church.
For many years I never passed a Salvation Army kettle without putting some greenbacks in. Especially the year that militant faggies were pushing in ;^) fake fivers with a message on the reverse scolding SA for homophobia or whatever.
Sorry to see them go from my charity list. Them and the southwestern Indian missions scams.
