It is shocking that in the current year of 2017, there are hateful symbols of the Ku Klux Klan still in the US Capitol. The statue to Robert Byrd must be removed.
-Robert Byrd was not only a KKK member but was in a key leadership position as "exalted cyclops"
-Robert Byrd actively worked against desegregation efforts and filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964
-He spent his career enriching himself and his cronies instead of being a civic minded leader for the people, earning himself the nefarious title "King of Pork" by Citizens Against Government Waste
-He spent his career promoting himself instead of serving his constituents, resulting in 3 times as many places in West Virginia named after him than Saddam Hussein had named after himself in Iraq
-He vowed to never serve in the US military as long as, in his words, "negroes" were allowed
-He is a great example on why career politicians are a problem, see this video of him to see why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V95eGgZbrU
Robert Byrd was a travesty to the US Senate, and he should not be memorialized as some kind of hero. The statue needs to be removed immediately.
Funny thing is, there really is NO legitimate argument whatsoever for this guy to have a statue. What war did he fight in? Oh that's right, he didn't want to serve in an Army with "negroes" in it. Real classy guy.
Why sign a petition? Just do what the Antifa terrorists do - Go there and just physically tear it down.
They need to rename all the streets named in his honor as well.
No petition. No permits required. Dress up like BLM and you wont be stopped.
Signed and now bumped!
BBut trhe libs will say he was a good Democrat
And they will be correct. The Democrat party supports race-bigotry and socialism. Democrat == National Socialist == Communist == Ku Klux Klan == AntiFa == Black Lives Matter. Violent murderous thugs, one and all.
‘Dress up like BLM and you wont be stopped.’
actually, the first line of defense against tearing down his statue would be BLM...
they are that far up the D-party anal fissure...
But, he was a Sacred Democrat!
and the Dems will have a hard time justifying Woodrow Wilson who didn’t live in a time of slaveowners, ahem. a verrrrry hard time. go at ‘em.
Tear it down, melt it down, and re-cast it as urinals.
Terrific.
What do Pelosi, Schumer and Soros have to say about this?

Signed and bumped
FDR ordered the imprisonment of Japanese Americans.
By the liberals own criteria, no way that he can be honored for anything, because of that action.
If the liberal radical types are going to tear down monuments to the sins of the past in our history, then to be intellectually honest, they need to go after liberal icons too.
I never understood how the Democrats were ok with an avowed member of the KKK as a Senator. Or how he can be honored even today.
Well, go for it, liberal/radical types. Rip the name and statues of Byrd down everyplace in West Virginia where his name shows up. Do that and you will at least be intellectually honest in your quixotic quest to cleanse American history.
Yeah ... if you look behind the curtain, I’m quite sure you’ll see that Bath-house Barry has his dirty fingers in this business, stirring up $#!+.
Sounds good to me.
I also posted this under their “social justice” category too, should be funny :)

........."My friend and 'MENTOR' Robert Byrd..a man with surpassing eloquence and nobility....From my first day in the Senate I sought out his guidance. I continue to rely on his advice and council."....
Robert C. Byrd Quote:
"I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side. Rather I should die a thousand ties, and never see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, then to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds".....
