President Trump’s question to reporters on Tuesday about the possibility of tearing down historical monuments has been answered by a Chicago pastor: “It’s time.”
Bishop James E. Dukes of Chicago’s Liberation Christian Center made headlines in the Windy City on Wednesday for calling on Mayor Rahm Emanuel to rename Washington Park and remove a statue of the first U.S. president over his ties to slavery.
“It’s time. Please read my letter to Mayor Rahm Emanuel and The Chicago Park District,” Mr. Dukes wrote on Facebook Tuesday night. “I’m calling on them to change the names of Washington and Jackson Park. Slave owners do not deserve the honor of our children playing in parks named after them.

This attack on statues will backfire big time. It won’t be long before statues of leftist heroes are vandalized and torn down. It’s inevitable that every time a situation escalates, the response will be at least equally nasty. But more often, the response ratchets up the level of anger. And then the left’s knockout game will return with a vengeance.
We can only hope.
But my reading of history does not leave me hopeful.
I see Trump as a president on the model of Andrew Jackson.
He is a renegade with a rabidly loyal following. He bucks the party establishment and does what he thinks is right. Does not mince words.
Jackson was like this only more so he had the courage to ignore Supreme court rulings. But most of what Jackson really cared about did not outlast his administration.
I was HOPING for this.
Maybe we can get REAL conservative Rs in office next time.
Because after George Washington and Thomas Jefferson are erased, the constitution is next.
It’s the logical next step to those psychos and their plan all along.

Anyone who speaks to truth and logic as you do will be ignored by the voices we have heard through our media for almost a year now because their goals have nothing to do with history. Their goals have to do with tyrannical rule over those who disagree with their ideas and their lust for power. George Orwell and his work, “1984,” is one of our best references now in the midst of this Orwellian push. He said, “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they will hate those that speak it.” We have no better example of truth than what our President stated on the day that the Charlotte tragedy occurred and look how he has been treated for it. I am guessing that the hatred existing in those two waring groups in Charlotte is not nearly as large as the collective hatred towards our President by the powers that be in high government, media and perhaps, technology firms today. We are getting information about the very rich technology guru’s now openly censoring ideas they do not like. Dangerous stuff, I would say. Something needs to be done about that, but, only an honest government, dealing in freedom for all, can do it, so who will? Today, it is historical icons which are being destroyed..Will it be real genocide tomorrow? What does history have to tell us about that? We had better look it up if we do not already know.

So much for being a “religious leader”. I would suggest to the “pastor” that Chicago has a much more serious problem (shootings) to deal with right now. He needs to get out on the streets and have a talk with those who would be the shooters.
Trump is, and was right - where does it end.
I’m here and I see this every day. Sometimes the victims are not even identified in the media. All you will read is “a man was found shot to death in a West Englewood alley.” A sixteen-year-old, who was identified, was shot yesterday while playing basketball. A good kid, by all accounts. The Bishop, though, was too busy with his crusade to weigh in on that one. Or the more general problem that something like 90% of all homicide victims are black; in about 80% of the cases there are no arrests or even suspects; when there are suspects or arrests, over 80% of the perpetrators are black.
Rename WASHINTON DC !

Word is getting out, just not as quickly and clearly as we would like.
But I have to tell you, word is getting out faster and more clearly than it ever had before in world history. Back in ‘97 everyone in this forum was viewed as ‘kooks’. And many of our fellow travelers back then were jaded with frustration to the point that they joined radical groups.
The fact that this forum has turned more mainstream is actually that the mainstream is catching up — just never as quickly as we would like.
But then there’s the smoke-and-mirrors, the extreme fringe that even wants to turn womens’ bathrooms into safaris of strange adventure. Now that group’s leadership is thinking about going after George Washington’s statues. They are way out there in weirdo land.
When are leftists going to denounce Muhammad for having slaves?
Chicago pastor, how about talking about black on black crime? Or is that a non issue to you?
It is time. To run this Dookie out of America on a rail.
That would require discussing personal accountability. Accountability is for honkeys.
