Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams called for the removal of the giant carving that depicts three Confederate war leaders on the face of state-owned Stone Mountain, saying it remains a blight on our state and should be removed.
We must never celebrate those who defended slavery and tried to destroy the union, Abrams said in a series of tweets posted early Tuesday, a response to the deadly violence sparked by white supremacist groups in Charlottesville, Va.

Oh no. Yet it will not matter if any of these are on private property.

Ulysses Grant was a slave owner. I didn't believe you and had to look it up. You are technically correct. But in Grant's defense, he acquired a single slave from his father in law in 1858 and freed him in 1859 instead of selling him for profit. At least according to Wikipedia...

Grant owned one slave, William Jones, which he purchased from his father. He manumitted William in 1859 - at a time when he could desperately use the money earned for the sale.
Grants wife Julia came from a slave-owning family and brought slaves into the marriage. I have never seen confirmation that she owned the 4 or 5 slaves or if they belonged to her father.

Well they are all just a bunch of EVIL WHITE MEN you know.
Without them we would still be a British Colony, instead of blacks and whites killing each other, it would be the blacks and mudslimes killing each other.

Stone Mountain is beautiful. We are at war. I am starting a ping list on this subject. Destruction of our history ping. Let me know if you want on the list.
Its on private property. Good point, if true, but the article begins:
"Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams called for the removal of the giant carving that depicts three Confederate war leaders on the face of state-owned Stone Mountain"
So which is it. Regardless, this work of art should remain, and it will make an excellent cause celebre which will hopefully illustrate just how hysterical and unhinged the PC fascists have become...

I have a feeling if the leftist haters try to destroy this monument, there WILL be a real civil war in Georgia. Yep. This example may serve to illustrate just how batsh-t crazy the Left's idea of erasing history is.
What a great case to serve as a barometer of where the sentiments of Georgians—and the nation as a whole—really lie.
I'd bet that a very large percentage of even Black Georgians will be opposed to this crazy idea.
This woman definitely accomplished one thing, though—ensuring that she will never be Governor of the State of Georgia...

And yet, if Kalifornia wants to leave the union, the criminally insane are down with that.

I call for the removal of all Democrats from office because of the partys history of supporting slavery.
What will society and the democrats do about all the human-trafficking present day slavers ? You know, all the pimps ? Where is the lefts outrage ?

What will society and the democrats do about all the human-trafficking present day slavers ? You know, all the pimps ? Where is the lefts outrage ?If they follow their usual pattern, I suppose they will largely ignore the problem until better people fix it. Then blame the people that fixed it for being responsible for it.
