House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi called Tuesday for the National Park Service to reconsider its decision to grant a permit to a right-wing group planning a rally at San Francisco’s Crissy Field, and asked whether the gathering had been approved “under guidance from the White House.”
Pelosi was reacting to plans by a group called Patriot Prayer to rally Aug. 26 at Crissy Field, which is part of Presidio National Park. The group’s permit was tentatively approved before violence broke out Saturday at a rally of white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va.

It seems as if the Democratic party leadership is playing childish games pandering to their base’s anti-Trump members. These games may have dangerous side effects like provoking those same member’s to criminal acts. Thinking back, I can’t recall anything comparable from Democrats or Republicans. It seems as though all of this started around 2008 and has gotten orders of magnitude worse since Obama left office. They are effectively shouting “fire” in a crowded theater. Isn’t this worse than what they accused Palin of when Gabrielle Giffords was shot?
