You sound very defensive.
I don't know when "you were a boy," but about 40 years ago when I was in middle school, we just DIDN'T have that many good-looking teachers. I can remember one that the boys thought was cute--maybe in 6th grade--but there's no way that ANY of us would've been seduced by her.
Thinking back, even in high school, I can't recall any teachers that would've captured a boy's attention. Maybe the cheer coach, but we didn't invite those kinds of things, and neither did the teachers.
I’m not sure our youth are that coddled when it comes to sex. They have 24/7 access to porn via phones and computers. Heck, movies, tv shows and even commercials inundate kids with sex. They are growing up too fast.
If she let her hair grow and bleach it ..put on a little make up she would look like the teacher in question.
I'm thinking in the pre-Internet days, it was much easier for this stuff to stay hidden or if exposed, get quickly swept under the rug. Nowadays with the Internet, news of such a relationship goes around the world in minutes and is seen by millions of people.
When I was in high school back in the 1970s, a girl in my class got pregnant. Around the same time she left the school, one of the history teachers also suddenly left, being replaced by another teacher mid-term. Scuttlebutt was that the teacher got the student pregnant but there was nothing in the news about it and if so, nobody in the faculty was talking.
Must easier to keep a lid on things back then. But regardless of what the "age of consent" is deemed to be by society, biology is biology. You can't legislate away sexual desire.
Personally, I'm thinking it's not more common than it was in the past. The difference is, with 24-hour news channels that are dying for anything to fill air time, that it's more a matter of something that was once a local story (if it became a 'story' at all, is now national. Therefore it makes it appear to be more common. Same thing applies to almost everything.
We are living in a time of historic low crime rates, other than in very specific pockets, (such as cities like Chicago), but you'd never know it by reading the paper or watching the news.
I went through hundreds to find this one. Literally hundreds. Took me till I was 28.
It was an avalanche of too dumb, too dumb, too dumb and bitchy, damned gold digger, psyco, fake, insecure, hates men, lazy, lacks manners, and too damned dumb.
An obscure reference for us old-timer Freepers.
Far too many seem to be departed, or just lurking "deep in the Hurtgen forest".
“I got shafted!”
That’s what we called it in High School when a female teacher had it in for one of the boys.
Green eyed lady, passion’s lady
Dressed in love, she lives for life to be
Green eyed lady feels like I never see
Setting sons and lonely lovers free

What’s a 15 year old boy doing in the eighth grade? (Aside from this extracurricular activity...)
sick
not very much homework or he’d already be a freshman or sophomore.
that said, if he is below average intelligence, it makes this look worse for the teacher.
Less guilty than mother Theresa
True. I’m referring to more than sex. It is usual for someone to be 18 before they get their first job. We do not teach general responsibility to the youth and then we get upset that 20 year olds in college act like 10 year olds.
LOL! Mine too. Maybe there was a reason they were supposed to be ugly as a mud fence?
