North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has vanished from the public eye for two weeks, South Korean media reported, prompting fears that he may be preparing to mark Tuesdays public holiday by firing a new rocket.
The last time Kim went days without being seen was prior to the ICBM launch in late July, when he remained incognito for two weeks before making his grandiose public appearance. His public withdrawal comes as nuclear tensions mount between Washington and Pyongyang, and on the heels of the leaders threat to attack the U.S. island territory of Guam.
On Tuesday, North Korea is set to commemorate the Korean Peninsulas liberation from Japan at the end of World War II.
Adding to the speculation of an imminent rocket-fire test, last week U.S.-based North Korea watchdog site 38 North released satellite imagery of a submarine base in the hermit country, showing that tarps had been placed above both the fore and aft decks of the Sinpo-class submarine base, presumably to conceal any inside movements.
However, other analysts have also pointed out that Kim has previously disappeared for lengthy periods due to an unknown physical condition. Furthermore, his father, Kim Jong Il, disappeared for around six weeks after the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, prompting speculation that he simply may have felt threatened.
Trump vowed last week that the U.S. would respond with fire and fury and is locked and loaded should North Korea dare come close to carrying an attack on the U.S. territory of Guam. Pentagon officials have told Fox News that the U.S. military stands ready to fight tonight.

“no more than a lump which it can beat to a jelly at any time.
He must think Hilary won the election.
Missing? Maybe on the way to a vacation at Gitmo?
Maybe China made him disappear.
Maybe China sent some ‘representatives’ to take Kim into a back alley and give him an attitude adjustment.
I am sure US intelligence knows where this POS is by the minute. Kim Jong Un, upon his next misbehavior, will see his mother from a different papa who will give him a spanking that he will never recover from. MOAB GBU-43/B is her name.
Or that Obozo won a third term.
He’s in his room playing Donkey Kong?
I think he is in for a BIGLY “disappearance” soon.
I think what he means is “all your base are belong to us”.
Or perhaps, “someone set us up the bomb”.

He also has recalled the North Korean ambassadors to China, Russia and the U.N.
My first thought on that was to preclude their defection from the safety of their embassies should the dictator’s plans turn sour. Nothing worse, diplomatically, for a dictator in trouble than to have his own ambassadors overseas defect in the midst of a crisis.
The last major North Korean defector was a very high up, very long time foreign service officer who defected while he was in Great Britain.
Or, the dictator may be intending to fire them for failure to get China or Russia to veto the latest sanctions resolution at the U.N. security council (as if it was in their power to get Russia or China to do that).
I think any subsequent missile launches by the Norks should be used as target practice by the U.S. military. We could perfect our systems.
Or rehab?
Or at least a few of his look alikes will disappear.
Somewhat similar to what happened that “led” Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor. Japan boxed themselves into a corner and decided it was best to fight they way out.
Puggsley is finding out how his military has become woefully decrepit. Those generals have been living off the fat of the land.
He's lump
He's lump
He's lump
He might be dead...
It’s been Tuesday for 8 hours already in North Korea.
My thoughts exactly. Something like “Listen Fat Boy, we got billions in trade deals with the Running Dog Imperialists and it makes everyone back home fat, happy and rich. If you don’t shut the f’k up we’re going to end you, get it?’’.
