I find it more than a little odd that some fast-food cook from a dive in Berkeley, CA would travel all the way to Virginia for an alleged "right-wing nationalist" demonstration.
Why would anyone go from Berkeley to Charlottesville for this protest — especially someone with the budget of a hot dog cart employee?
Clearly, he’s a PAID PROTESTER.
Its not a First Amendment issue, she said. Remember, that only protects you from actions by the government based on your speech. It doesn'tt protect you from actions by your private employer. Its also probably not a discrimination issue, because going to a rally like this, participating like this, doesn'tt make you a member of a protected class.
That's right an employer can fire someone for speech or associations they don't like. But how long will it take before anyone expressing an opinion that the left doesn't like getting fired destroys free speech and freedom of association? Unfortunately we may find out.
THIS IS MEANT TO BE A WARNING TO OTHERS
Do something the left disagrees with, and lose your job.
How does someone who works at a food cart afford to go to a political event across he country?
The left has been blacklisting conservatives for years in Hollywood.
Major stars get a partial exemption.
This sounds weird.
How can a guy employed as a Fast Food cook in Berkeley afford to travel all the way across the country to protest at a small town in Virginia no one ever heard of?
And a ‘white supremacist’ from Berkeley?...................
The purge continues. You will not have any White Pride, under penalty of losing your job.
His right to free speech and association was infringed by the gov’t? He was arrested for simply being at the event? Or did a private business simply fire an employee?
I’m pretty sure there’s a California labor law prohibiting the firing of an employee for engaging in political activity. It was passed during the Vietnam era, mainly to protect teachers who were being let go for participating in anti-war activities ...
Wow. Hope he can find another great job like he lost.
not a smart move in California. We have lawyers behind every rock drooling at the thought of an unlawful termination case.
There is no more thorough blacklisting and McCarthyism than that employed by the Hollywood left. Hollywood has made bank on exploiting McCarthy in film and yet it is very commonly well understood that Conservatives are aggressively blacklisted.
Bottom line—if Soros and the dems create murder and mayhem with the ultimate goal of destroying America, we should keep our focus and our vigilance on their agenda.
Yet these are the same people that are demanding the NFL hire Colin Kapwhateverhisnameis.
A hot dog stand employee went cross country to protest? Either, he is getting $15+/hour or it is fake news...not sure which...
Top Dog is a libertarian hot dog stand.
Everything is political in Berkeley.
To say they are out of step with the Berkeley mainstream socialism is a dramatic understatement.
Great hot dogs, brats and kielbasa, though. Cheap prices and good food. I used to eat at Top Dog seven days a week, back in the day.
Interesting that a so called white supremacist would spring from the loins of Berkeley, California.
The employee should go to the State Labor Commissioner to see if he has any recourse.
Decisions have consequences.
However, I also find it odd that someone in Berkley working as a cook would have enough money to travel across country for a protest.
What is that saying, follow the money.
Fired from a Berkeley, CA hotdog stand? Let’s hear
more about the poison food they are serving in
Berkeley. MSG, nitrates/nitrates, hormone injected,
garbage fed fascist food? In Berkeley? What kind
of torturous conditions were those poor animals
raised in? And, what about how those poor animals
were murdered by slaughterhouse nazis?
It is becoming clear just who the real weenies are!
