I’ve kept my peace on this subject, but you can refer to my original comments on the issue of Colin Kaepernick from last year’s football season.
But now I hear there’s a petition of folks who are planning to boycott the NFL if Colin Kaepernick doesn’t get picked up by a football team. This is typical of the left who only operates in the world of intimidation, coercion, and violence … threats.
So now the progressive socialist left wants to coerce and intimidate a private sector business into accepting one of their chuckleheads.
Here’s the bottom line: Colin Kaepernick utilized his freedom of speech and expression — stupidly — in protest against our national anthem. That is his right, but guess what my tender cupcake leftist social justice warriors, there are consequences.
If Colin Kaepernick wants to make politicized statements he is free to do so. And NFL teams also have a freedom, not to hire him! You delusional leftists seem to believe we have to put up with your insidious proclamations and actions. We do not.
Can y’all be so intellectually challenged to believe that you get to say and do whatever you wish, and all others must accommodate and acquiesce to your whims? That is reflective of the childlike immature manner in which you live your lives. You throw a tantrum in public and expect not to get spanked.
Let me tell you how dumb this is. Most of y’all don’t even like football because it’s too violent for you. Furthermore, football isn’t about participation trophies; there are winners.
Here’s the deal; Colin Kaepernick may not have a future with the NFL, so just have ol’ Uncle George Soros hire him to be a spokesperson for some stupid progressive socialist cause. But just be advised, there are many of us red-blooded Americans who look forward to the fall and high school, college, and professional football. You leftists have pretty much screwed up everything from our healthcare to North Korea … doggone, leave football the hell alone!
If the NFL wants to knuckle under to a few leftist clowns, wait until they see the repercushions from the normal football fans.
SJWs think Google *must* fire James Damore for an internal memo critical of Google policies that aren’t working, but some NFL team *must* hire Colon Kaepernick after his antics poisoned the fan base and he walked away from a job he already had. That’s liberal logic.

NFL contracts are not guaranteed in most cases. The 49ers knew last season that they wanted to cut Kaepernick after last season and avoid paying out the rest of his contract.
However, since they knew they wanted to cut him after the season, this also meant that they could never let him play in a game and risk an injury ... because under the current collective bargaining agreement they would not be allowed to cut him if he had been injured in an NFL game. So their plan was to basically let him sit on the bench all year and pay him what they owed him for 2016, and he was never going to get into a game for even a single play.
He opted out of his contract during the season last year because he knew that his value to another NFL team for this (2017) season would be almost zero if he never played a single game in the NFL in 2016. By opting out of his contract, he gave the 49ers the option to play him last season without having to worry about getting stuck with him after the end of 2016 due to an injury. He got into a few games and put up some half-decent numbers, but as it turned out that didn't help him at all this year.

Allen West made anti-Trump comments during the election (as did others who were subsequently hired). I believe he was interviewed by DJT at Trump Tower. Either he turned down an offer, or DJT wasn’t sufficiently impressed with his skills set.
Sarah: I feel so badly for Sarah. She would have made the BEST first female President. Damn the commies that have infested our country and smeared her so successfully. She needs to be in a top position but would probably not pass Congress approval. Any lower position is beneath her.
Arpaio is very old but wonderful. I hope DJT is looking into the possibility of presidential pardon or whatever else he can do for this dear man who has shown us what backbone and courage are all about. God Bless him and his wife.

I’m slowly coming to think NASCAR is past its prime, as well. I have not watched one complete “race” this year. I didn’t even turn on the set for today’s event, wherever it was held. And I don’t feel like I missed anything.

I am not a Dallas Cowboys fan and I don’t particularly care for Jerry Jones, their owner. That being said, I like what he did last season. When the NFL had the rash of players not standing for the National Anthem, he did the following. He called a meeting with the entire Cowboys organization and told them that he understood that it was their Constitutional right to not stand for the playing of the National Anthem. He also told them that if they chose to do so, they would be unemployed the following day.
I like Allen West, but I don’t want to equate a boycott with “intimidation, coercion, and violence … threats.” Boycotts are something we conservatives use all the time to manifest discontent, and to send a message. It’s not violence.
I pretty much quit watching NFL games on TV due to the prolife3ration of commercial breaks, endless replay reviews and ridiculous rules limiting contact. But I still followed my team (Steelers) and watched when they were on. After the Kaepernick mess, I don’t even follow the Steelers anymore. Haven’t read anything about camp, don’t know if they’ve won or lost their preseason games, and don’t even know who is on the team this year. And I don’t care.
Same here. But I'd add defensive players celebrating as if they won the Super Bowl after every tackle to my list of annoyances. Whatever happened to making a routine tackle and walking back to the defensive huddle? These days it's like watching hyper children.
Yes. They really are that stupid.
