Allen West: I Can No Longer Remain Silent on Colin Kaepernick
CNS News ^ | August 11, 2017 | Allen West

Posted on 08/13/2017 12:30:54 PM PDT by Mr. Mojo

I’ve kept my peace on this subject, but you can refer to my original comments on the issue of Colin Kaepernick from last year’s football season.

But now I hear there’s a petition of folks who are planning to boycott the NFL if Colin Kaepernick doesn’t get picked up by a football team. This is typical of the left who only operates in the world of intimidation, coercion, and violence … threats.

So now the progressive socialist left wants to coerce and intimidate a private sector business into accepting one of their chuckleheads.

Here’s the bottom line: Colin Kaepernick utilized his freedom of speech and expression — stupidly — in protest against our national anthem. That is his right, but guess what my tender cupcake leftist social justice warriors, there are consequences.

If Colin Kaepernick wants to make politicized statements he is free to do so. And NFL teams also have a freedom, not to hire him! You delusional leftists seem to believe we have to put up with your insidious proclamations and actions. We do not.

Can y’all be so intellectually challenged to believe that you get to say and do whatever you wish, and all others must accommodate and acquiesce to your whims? That is reflective of the childlike immature manner in which you live your lives. You throw a tantrum in public and expect not to get spanked.

Let me tell you how dumb this is. Most of y’all don’t even like football because it’s too violent for you. Furthermore, football isn’t about participation trophies; there are winners.

Here’s the deal; Colin Kaepernick may not have a future with the NFL, so just have ol’ Uncle George Soros hire him to be a spokesperson for some stupid progressive socialist cause. But just be advised, there are many of us red-blooded Americans who look forward to the fall and high school, college, and professional football. You leftists have pretty much screwed up everything from our healthcare to North Korea … doggone, leave football the hell alone!

I say we start a petition saying we'll boycott the NFL if they DO hire that hairbag.

Not that they'll be losing much from my viewship. I haven't watched NFL football since Joe Namath was playing for the Jets.

I have NEVER had a job where I could say WHATEVER I wanted while I was there with no consequences....

That's because dollars to donuts you're a white, tax-paying, property-owning, employed American citizen. Not Hispanic. Not Black. Not Muslim. And definitely NOT an Illegal Alien. As such, you have NO special status, no rights whatsoever under our current Department of "Just Us", and how it enforces the law. So step out of line, and you are IN DEEP TROUBLE. Welcome to the NEW America, citizen!

His actions have already resulted in a pretty substantial boycott by OUR side, if this forum is any indication.

>>Free agency was the death knell, where players flit from one team to another, like butterflies on flowers. What’s left to support, a franchise corporation? And a leftist one, at that. <<

As a quick preface (linkage in a moment) I never like “Seinfeld” except for his bit at the opening of the show.

In one of those bits, he asked why anyone is a fan of any professional team. He pointed out: teams constantly change cities, ownership, even names. His conclusion: “fans are just rooting for clothes.”

That’s what’s so funny to me about this situation. He got to thinking he was hot stuff and that everyone would fall all over themselves trying to get him. So he opted out of his contract to become a free agent, only to discover nobody wanted him. If he hadn’t done that, he would still be playing.

Love to see Ndamukong Suh kick Colin Kaepernick in the face.

I have said for almost a year now that NOBODY is boycotting the NFL on either side over this. A boycott implies that NFL viewers will come back once their demands are met. That’s simply not going to happen. Anyone who stopped watching the NFL last year over the CK idiocy has already found other (better) things to do with the time they used to spend watching NFL games They are never coming back even if Kaepernick stands on the sideline holding a giant American flag at every NFL game for an entire season ... while wearing a “Trump/Pence 2020” T-shirt and a “Make America Great Again” hat.

I’ve noticed that there are more football players who are starting Kapernick’s example of sitting out during the National Anthem. If that happens again this year, the NFL will lose even more viewers and will continue to flush down the toilet.

There are at least 2 prominent NFL players who have announced they are going to continue Kaepernick’s disrespect for the US this year. One plays for Philadelphia (raised fist) and the other is a Raider (will sit on bench).

I feel the NFL is past its prime. Like most things that have peaked, they seem to have been taken over by money and politics.

"It started as a game, became a sport and is now a business... complete with accountants, lawyers and crooked politicians."

Kaepernick didn’t care about his “blackness” until he lost his starting QB job with the Niners. Then he found his inner “black man” and made himself a victim. You can’t have rational discussions about race with blacks in this country. They will always play the role of a victim of racism. They’ve allowed the Democrat Party to make them comfortable as victims for all eternity.

Just a minor technicality, but Colin Kaepernick was under contract with an NFL team and voluntarily elected to void that agreement. When people make bad choices they normally have to live with the consequences.

I can’t think of a job where the employee is allowed to get into a customer’s face over politics or anything else on company time. If you have to sign a contract for the job, it is usually spelled out as grounds for dismissal.

Can y’all be so intellectually challenged to believe that you get to say and do whatever you wish, and all others must accommodate and acquiesce to your whims?

With all due respect to Col. West the left has pretty much had this attitude due to the successes they've had in the past few decades bullying people to succumb to their whims and will.

Boston at Yankees on ESPN this evening.

Well, that explains why the neither were on the radio at 3PM today. The talk station has the Yankees, the 60s/70s station has the BoSox...
