The female midshipman voluntarily decided to not continue participating in a summer course that's required of officers who want to be selected for SEAL training, Lt. Cmdr. Mark Walton, a Naval special warfare spokesman, told The Associated Press. The Navy has not released the woman's name, part of a policy against publicly identifying SEALs or candidates for the force.

No other woman has started the long process required to become a Navy SEAL, Walton said...

Most men can’t make it. So far, one woman couldn’t make it. I give her credit for trying. It’s probably safe to say fewer women will make the cut than men; still there will be a woman who does and, when she does, more power to her...as long as the standards aren’t lowered.

She will destroy unit cohesion. Chicks screw up men’s minds.
If a chick can make SEALs, there should be a female only team.

I see someone like Cyborg maybe making the cut for she does have a lot of strength for a woman of her size, maybe other than that I do not know.

Shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

Countless try..., few succeed. She probably was pushed by PC but ultimately couldn't cut it.

Let’s test the theory that women can do whatever men can do in combat. Send an all female group out on patrol in Afghanistan and see how it goes.

My husband came up with the name for the first tranny brigade.... Hell on heels.

She tried and failed. So do most men. Don’t lower the standards.

The really long-distance records, like swimming the Channel, are held by women. Their extra body fat not only insulates them, but lets them float higher so less of their energy is expended on keeping above water.

it is not about if a woman can make it. It is all about unit working together, and when there is a woman with a bunch of guys then all sorts of crap happens, drama happens a lot, and what if she makes a move on a guy, he refuses, and she accuses him of rape etc.

There is not one guy I know who I have served with think it is a good idea to have a woman put into a combat unit,
