I feel like I must do something to help President Trump and through him our country but feel so powerless to make a meaningful difference. Ive reached out to opposition-minded friends and family but have had only limited success penetrating the insidious web of distortions woven by the media and the likes of Facebook and Google. Ive written my Republican congressmen on numerous occasions only to receive boilerplate platitudes in response; I fear (but do not know) that they may be either self-serving cowards and/or as corrupt and seditious as most of the Democratic Party. Ive taken my best stabs at reasoned posts and comments in internet forums, but fear that my posts may be deliberately lost in the noise, and that the forums themselves may have been compromised by concerted censorship and disinformation campaigns where sophisticated operatives make posts designed to divide, demoralize, and/or discredit our side.
So what can little ol me do to actually make a difference against such corrupt goliaths? Suggestions? My best idea so far, as trivial as it may sound, is to proudly don my Trump t-shirt and my bright red MAGA sweatband a couple of times a week, go for a run through my community, and amiably smile and wave to my passing neighbors. Then, perhaps a like-minded neighbor, having seen me, might become encouraged to do the same. And on the movement spreads as a very real rebuttal in our physical world to the pervasive propaganda in our virtual world. There are numerous obvious advantages to this strategy, but in particular, this strategy is decentralized (hence hard to disrupt) and genuine (hence easier to trust).
Although overwhelming disinformation hinders my certainty, my instinct tells me that most ordinary Americans support or would support (if we can break the enemys spell) President Trumps common sense agenda. However, most understandably keep their heads down or may not even be aware on account of the enemys treacherous tactic of branding dissenters as evil and then viciously ruining their lives. In this context, I can imagine some regular guy or gal, super busy just trying to stay afloat, driving to work one morning, unwittingly swallowing NPRs deceitful reporting, and then - in stark juxtaposition they see a familiar smiling face, jogging down the road, proudly supporting (in a non-pushy way) our President Trump, a hero and a patriot. Do you think it might work? Be worth a shot? Joggers for Trump? If so, tell your friends. Maybe it will catch on. In the meantime, Ill keep jogging.
I commend you for abstaining from Amazon. I understand how hard that is because we use Amazon a lot, too. Like you, I am becoming increasingly worried about Amazon’s growing dominance of the retail space. If Amazon were to start to banning sellers for political reasons, then that would have a chilling effect on informed debate.
Nice post - that helps.
Find Tea Party or TRUE conservatives in your state that can run as congress and senate candidates NOW.
Identify the RINOs and quisling republicats by NAME and district.
Sign up with the party and infiltrate in order to put real conservatives in office. Let the traitors know that we are going to primary them out in the fall.
I went through a conversion and now I am a God fearing Catholic. I am now much more keenly aware of the power of prayer -- especially the Psalms in front of the blessed sacrament.
At some point, I came to the liberating realiztion that faith and reason(or science if you prefer) are not at war with each other as many worldly people would have you falsly believe. Having faith allows one to give up the idea that we have to have all the answers in this world. It's ok to have mysteries, after all God created it that way!
Thus, it is best to view faith and reason as two wings of one bird. Too much faith without reason doesn't fly well. Visa versa, too much reason without faith likewise has trouble flying. Use both prudently and one can soar! God Bless!
Clean and oil your gun and prepare for CW2 if the treasonists succeed in their coup.
The most important thing anyone can do to help the president is to remind everyone how much he has accomplished and how these things are good for all of us. (http://www.conservapedia.com/Donald_Trump_achievements) The second most important thing you can do is remind the RNC that you are with Trump not them. When they ask for money, stick a note in the envelope telling them that you will primary every eGOP candidate who is not with Trump and will ONLY give money directly to the Trump campaign going forward. The third thing you can do is boycott LOUDLY any entity that takes any social action against the president. I do have a MAGA hat and I get a LOT of comments when I wear it in public. A lot of people ask me about it and I am always ready to assure them that President Trump is working for us.

Greenfield is quite trustworthy, and his essays are often posted here on FR. As a matter of fact, this very essay was most likely posted here. If you find it, I am willing to bet that you will find many good comments attesting to its truthfulness.
On such threads, I often go through the comments to see what FReepers have to say. There are a few whose opinions I trust a great deal.
You are most welcome. I, too, have found that I pray much more now than I did as a young adult. Looking back on my arrogance now sometimes makes me flinch.
I am so very thankful to have the comfort of my faith and to have the opportunity to pray every day.
God be with you.
I wish there was a way to love Amazon and hate Bezos. I have many people to take care of and literally cannot go our shopping at will. Amazon is a lifesaver for us. And anyone who created and runs it is doing something good with tech and logistics.
I wish it wasn’t him.

Thanks. I donated what I could to Trump during the campaign although post-election I became suspicious that the undeserving GOP, with which I am quite unhappy, might be coopting contributions. I’ll go back and recheck Trump’s homepage as well as donate to some of these other organizations.
Thank you for all your efforts and this advice. Will do.
I like your style!
Best,
I like how you articulated that. Better than I. Thanks.
Best,
What is your opinion on Senators Cornyn and Cruz? I recently wrote to them (again), requesting that they transparently and forthrightly declare their positions on such things as the RAISE Act, the Election Integrity Committee, building the wall, and what aggressive offensive action they are taking to destroy the seditionists. No reply yet; I’m not optimistic, but a candid reply from them would go a long way in determining whether I should support them or not. In the past, I’ve read conservative editorials by Senator Cruz, which impressed me, but I just can’t seem to shake this slippery feeling I have about him.
I trust Cruz more than coryn.
The way I can tell who the conservative or the outsider is, is by the amount of vitriol the RINOs and the media hurl at them. Palin, Reagan, Trump, etc.... look at what they DO not what they say.
It’s all kabuki anyway. The deep state is tough to beat. All they have to do is bide their time till the elected officials leave. The other thing that is so amazing is that because of the ENORMOUS number of laws and regulations Trump or ANY outsider will “break the law”. That’s why liberal and democrats can say “F$&k you” to the FBI or lie to congress or not pay taxes or ignore security regulations but conservatives and we “proles” are in prison or bankrupt. Neat, huh?
