Climate-Change Study Leaked Over Fears That Trump Will Suppress It
New York Magazine ^ | August 8, 2017 | by Margaret Hartmann

For those who believe the scientific consensus that human-caused global warming is real, President Trump has already made many nightmares a reality.

So far “climate change is a hoax invented by the Chinese” isn’t the official policy of the U.S. government, but many worry that in addition to implementing policies that undo America’s progress on global warming, the Trump administration will take steps to prevent others from accessing facts about the problem.

Now the feud between the Trump administration and scientists has escalated again with the leak of an unreleased federal study on climate change to the New York Times. The 545-page Climate Science Special Report was drafted by scientists from 13 government agencies, and is part of the congressionally mandated National Climate Assessment, which is issued every four years. The findings are troubling.

The report finds it “extremely likely” that more than half of the global mean temperature increase since 1951 can be linked to human influence.

The draft has been approved by the National Academy of Sciences, but the 13 government agencies must sign off on the report by Sunday. One government scientist who worked on the report told the Times that he and his colleagues are worried that it will be suppressed.

Reminds me of when I was a stock boy at a shoe store. Me and the other kid used to always tell the manager when the shipment came in that all the shelves had to be redone throughout the whole store to make room. It wasn’t true. But it gave us an extra 12 to 13 hours of work.

Keep in mind that each year there are at least 365 chances for a record daily temp to be set. Double that actually if you count high or low. Now at the outside best temp records go back 358 years. Central England being the oldest from 1659. Other places much less. Now in any given year the chances of a record being set are quite good. Remember this when you hear about record temperatures.

The only thing “extremely likely” is Trump will de-fund climate science!

Funny how large sums of greenbacks can cure this global warming garbage. Why doesn’t someone just ask how money will change the climate???? No one ever asks that.

Go back to the IPCC's first assessment report from 1990 and read the laughable predictions on sea level rise, temperature, and consequences of 'climate change' that we should have already experienced, then tell me that the "science is settled."

Actually, wine production in Europe provides hundreds of years of data.

In the book "Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years" the regions of ideal wine production are tracked from Roman times to now illustrating the long cycle.

Greenland was named that because it was green at its discovery.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

No matter how many ways you study CHANGED AND OUTRIGHT MADE UP OUT OF THIN AIR NUMBERS, the goal was established prior to the computation of any numerical data. Change, or make up, the raw data so the models present the desired result.

Prove the number are real with chain-of-custody proof of each number, the calibration records of each sensor, the chain-of-custody verified certification of all operators, calibrators, modelers, etc. Chain-of-custody as proof is mandatory in the nuclear industry to use a screwdriver to tighten one screw, why not with something so important as world-ending threats of AGW.

Bingo, if you can trust the readings. Official records in Australia are being pruned of low temperatures readings. That'll certainly make temps look high. check it out here

Who thinks these shenanigans are isolated to Australia?

That sounds a lot like Rush's joke line about being "almost always right 98.6% of the time..."

lol

I do disagree with Trump when he says ‘Global Warming scare was invented by the Chinese’ but he and Ted Cruz were the most believable of the 17 candidates that they recognized it was a hoax. I jumped from Cruz to Trump when Cruz didn’t support a fellow candidate when the riot at the Chicago rally was clearly a Democrat propaganda ploy. It turns out that it was instigated by that woman on oxygen who was paid $1500 to do so.

Meanwhile, we are enjoying a summer that has had only about 4 weeks of normal temperatures and are now entering the final stretch of summer at about 10 degrees below average for the date.

What is more, we have enjoyed an average and well spaced rainfall. Only once, in the two weeks of June / July did it actually get dry enough long enough to bale hay. That is unheard of.

Sunspot activity continues at a very low level. Hmmm.

I’m really enjoying this summer compared to most.
