Thanks to a little-noticed auction sale, a South Bay couple are the proud owners of one of the most exclusive streets in San Francisco and theyre looking for ways to make their purchase pay.
Tina Lam and Michael Cheng snatched up Presidio Terrace the block-long, private oval street lined by 35 megamillion-dollar mansions for $90,000 and change in a city-run auction stemming from an unpaid tax bill. They outlasted several other bidders.

Funny story. Not only do rich liberal politicians not live with the common people they don't pay their taxes either.
I think an open air street market would go over great with the neighborhood. if I was the owner I would be looking at what are the regulations when it comes to open markets on the street.
Love it was an immigrant that bought the street.
Hope he soaks them dry.
That street could accommodate hundreds of Porta-potties and after the guest rooms are filled, the lawns many tents for the illegals and homeless.
I think a homeless camp would be appropriate.
will My idea calls for street performers I believe that is the politically correct term for begging in the area.
A simple $100,000 per year per household “maintenance” fee would be an excellent idea.
How about open van tours of the street. Their fellow Chinese would snap up the pictures!!!
in all seriousness I bet that originally the street became a private street so that those that lived on the street could keep the riffraff away. I bet if you look into the past you will find out that at some point the city did own the street and it was not a private street. when it was made a private street who ever wanted to keep up the charade was not willing or did not realize they had to pay taxes on the street when it became a private street.
ping

These people were smart enough to stay quiet until they paid taxes on it.
I love this story. Just charge 1,000 a month per spot.
