THE KEY TO FAILURE
I recently read a devotion in God's Little Devotional Book for Women, which really touched my life. This book was copyrighted in 1996 by Honor Books, Inc. in Tulsa Oklahoma. The story on pages 98 and 99 tells of a painter who wanted to produce one work which would please everyone. So she painted a picture, and hung it in the public marketplace. She posted directions for people to mark the places they did not like with a small paint brush. She was surprised when she returned to find her picture was just a blob. So, the next day, she took another copy of the painting and asked people to mark the places they liked. By the afternoon, the picture was exactly the same blob. The artist concluded, "I now believe the best way to please one-half of the world is not to mind what the other half thinks or says." People always have an opinion about what we say or do, and the key to failure is to try to please everyone. The key to success, on the other hand, is to live according to God's opinions...those spelled out in the Bible. Then we will not fret over the opinions of others. "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other." (Matthew 6:24)

Howdy, LUV!
I guess this trip isn’t nearly as fun as last week’s. No fun leaving everyone behind but hey, you had a grand time with them while you were there.
The lights will still be on at the Canteen when you get home. :-)

Good evening, Radu!
*HUGS*
A Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours!
It's good to be getting furniture back in place. It is not pleasant living with sub-floor exposed.

Howdy, Kathy.
Hope things have been quiet today - - no repeats of yesterday’s performances by your mom.

Hi radu!
I went over and mowed at 7:00 this morning, (about the time you're getting up), finished just after 8:00, visited and played with the dogs. The puppy is a little maniac and untied my shoes twice when I wasn't looking, sheesh, he's quick!
Other than that just laying low and relaxing.
You have a good day?

It sure isn't fun living with sub-floor plus the clutter of having furniture piled out of the way. Now life must feel a little more back to normal. Y'all must be getting antsy to get these renovations finished once and for all. :-)

Gotta keep a close eye on that puppy from the sound of it. He's a stinker!
Had a wunnerful day - - not. Spent most of the afternoon scrubbing the cat litter boxes with soap and bleach. It was a good day for it since it was warm but not too hot. Really nice outside actually. But it was a crummy job that needed to be done.
Then I got stung by a wasp when I put the hose away. NOT FUN!!! My hand and wrist are still sore.

OWW, stung by a wasp! Country living has all sorts of fun involved, I know.
The kittehs appreciate your efforts, even though they don't show it. How are they doing?

LOL! I figured you were.
I wasn't even thinking when I put the hose away this afternoon. I'd kept it in Aunt Clara's kitchen over the winter and hadn't used it until today. There's a little cabinet by the back door I kept it in last summer and that's where I put it when I was done today. We have wasps all over the farm and I should have looked before putting my hands in there with the hose. duh!
But they won't bother any one ever again! Hubby zapped 'em with some Bengal spray and they're deader 'n doornails. Stopped instantaneously.
There were a LOT of them! I'm lucky to have only been stung once.
The girlies are doing pretty well. Holli had the "funk" the worst and isn't as spunky as the other three. At least they don't have fevers any more.

Poor Holli is turning into a homely lil girlie. Her coloring is pretty but her face .... Just not a pretty one. Poor baby.
Yes, they’ve been out with the others for a couple of weeks or so but still like to hang out in the bedroom a bit. They’re a little intimidated by soooooo maaaaany other kittehs. And they’re still small kittens. Holli’s the heaviest at 3 pounds and the other three are only around two and a half pounds. Pixie’s a small cat so it’s no surprise.
