Civil rights groups on Saturday announced their intent to file suit against Donald Trump’s “mean-spirited and discriminatory” attempt to ban transgender people from serving in the US armed forces.
Trump announced the ban on Twitter in July. Top US military leaders have not implemented it, since no formal guidance was provided.
But after a report published late on Friday said the White House had approved guidance on the ban, Lambda Legal and OutServe-Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (Outserve-SLDN) announced an intent to file suit.
Sasha Buchert, a Lambda Legal staff attorney and transgender military veteran, said the ban was “capricious, irrational and clearly driven by anti-LGBT forces in the administration who care more about harming transgender people than keeping our nation safe”.(continued)

There is no special constitutional protection for transgender groups’ “civil rights”. The case should never reach the inside of a courtroom.
There are .3% transgenders in the United States (I think it’s much less). Wouldn’t that be akin to genocide to allow them in an organization where they could be killed?

Nobody has a “right” to serve in the Military. Nobody.
What makes people think the Military is an equal opportunity employer? Very far from it.
The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to deny citizens from joining for being too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too tall or too short.
Citizens are denied for having flat feet, or for missing or additional fingers. Poor eyesight will disqualify you, as well as bad teeth. Malnourished? Drug addiction? Bad back? Criminal history? Low IQ? Anxiety? Phobias? Hearing damage? Six arms? Hear voices in your head? Self-identify as a Unicorn? Need a special access ramp for your wheelchair? Can’t run the required course in the required time? Can’t do the required number of pushups?
Not really a “morning person” and refuse to get out of bed before noon?
All can be reasons for denial.
The Military has one job. War. Anything else is a distraction and a liability.
Did someone just scream “That isn’t Fair”? War is VERY unfair, there are no exceptions made for being special or challenged or socially wonderful.
YOU change yourself to meet Military standards. Not the other way around.
I say again: You don’t change the Military... you must change yourself.
The Military doesn’t need to accommodate anyone with special issues. The Military needs to Win Wars.

They didn’t raise this civil rights challenge when Obama was predident from 2009-2016. He implemented this in 2016.

This is total nonsense.
It’s sex, not gender, and no one is transgender. Some people cut their dix off, or try to graft one, but no one gets to change his/her sex.
since they don’t have any rights denied them as their birth gender, they have no standing...
under the Constitution there are no special treatment required for men who want to pretend to be women..
Why don’t they sue their own fathers ???
those are the ones who caused them to be born male, not the government...
I hope they do end up in court. Then we’ll hear exactly how many transgenders are actually in, plus we’ll get to find out how expensive it’ll be to have those flakes in service.

So, if the former Fag-In-Chief could do all this by waving his wand, how come the current POTUS can’t reverse it?
