“Both are deeply xenophobic racist people with a definite fascistic bent”
Adolph Merkel doesn’t seem to be xenophobic now does she?
Uhhh, may I remind you that the Soviet Union invaded Poland, too?
Not to mention Finland, as well.
And Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
[ Even though the Nazis were national socialists, they still had ambitions to rule globally. So eventually, they were headed in the same direction as their international socialist brethren. ]
NAZIs still believed in invading and taking over countries via war like the classical European model of conquest that Napoleon used.
The Soviets believed in using internal subversion first to do a lions share of the work before they rolled the tank into the country and would not “officially” take over a country but instead place “Party members” in power over a country to turn into into a satellite or puppet state. This made the invasion seem less like an invasion.
So in this way NAZIs were more “honest and upfront” about their invasions than the Soviets were.
It is the difference between being chased down, killed and eaten by a Tiger vs. catching a parasitic disease, getting weakened, then dying and ate by scavengers.
“Heydrich DID, have to Czech his privilege”
I think they “Czeched” him!
Of course...that was the agreement they had with their pact.
Germans were happy, Russians were miserable.
[ Socialism: You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.
Communism: You have two cows. You give them to the government, and the government then gives you some milk.
Fascism: You have two cows. You give them to the government, and the government then sells you some milk.
Capitalism: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
Nazism: You have two cows. The government takes both and shoots you. ]
Feudalism: You have two cows. You give them to the government, and the king then gives you some milk.
Communism is just Feudalism with a government ruling tyrannically instead of a King, but this is sold as “for the good of the people”
Anarchy: You had two cows, but you refused to build a fence so one got out and got ran over and the other one went into your house ate something it shouldn’t have and is now dead and rotting in your living room.
Social justice-ism: You have two non gender specific animals, one of them self-identifies as a bull, the other one self-identifies as a wolf, also, why are you being speciesist to my cows, REEEEEEEEEE!
Yes, during the interwar period, Hitler spoke of achieving the German goal of Lebensraum by supporting and sponsoring the anti-Communists inside the USSR, essentially "flipping" the Soviet Union into the Nazi column. He persisted in that belief for some time; it is thought to be the genesis of his later invasion of the USSR.
Elbow room, ja?
PJ O’Rourke said it best.. Socialism is Communism sold by the drink..
Under Nazism the cartels write the checks to the workers. Under Communism the government writes the checks to the workers. Either way the suffering is the same.
Both the nazi way and the soviet way were ugly, but both ways tried to end up the same place: socialist dominance over the globe.
They are both socialists and statists, but commies don’t believe in private property. Nazis accept nominal private property but insist that the goobermint control it.

Similar goals, different means
Nazism is fascism. It’s the softer sell because if gives the pretense of private ownership. Communism gives no such pretense. Both however are utterly evil, totalitarian systems.
Fascism is Fascism. Nazism is Nazism. Hitler and Mussolini didn’t even get along.
Yes but you’re missing my point. Hitler didn’t go taking away peoples house and property, neither did Mussolini. And as far as not getting along, Hitler rescued Mussolini in a daring raid by his favorite commando Otto Skorzeny.
At one time, Mussolini threatened to go to war with Germany if they annexed Austria, he eventually realized that he was no match for Hitler.
Actually there was private ownership under Communism, at least for a short period....
