WASHINGTON (AP) — The betting was that law-and-order Attorney General Jeff Sessions would come out against the legalized marijuana industry with guns blazing. But the task force Sessions assembled to find the best legal strategy is giving him no ammunition, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, a group of prosecutors and federal law enforcement officials, has come up with no new policy recommendations to advance the attorney general’s aggressively anti-marijuana views. The group’s report largely reiterates the current Justice Department policy on marijuana.

Obama is a pothead .. he alone is justification for the prohibition of a weed that makes the user loco.

Very disappointing answer. The states are ignoring a federal law which is based on the fraudulent New Deal Commerce Clause.

Would you defend an anti-Second Amendment law passed by Congress? I’m guessing you wouldn’t. So why defend an anti-10th Amendment law?

There was an era in American history, an era also known for greater love of God and resulting virtue in other ways, where marijuana was NOT such a big deal.

What we are seeing today in our raft of addictions to various “narcotics” is the filling of a vacuum in lives where God used to be. Remember how Marx talked about “religion” being the “opiate” of the masses? He was actually perceptive there. But he foresaw a future of human pride which would supersede this “opiate.” And little by little, this poison idea infiltrated our society, our faith being unequal to the task of shutting it out.

Well guess what. We still need the “opiate.” Some people get it on the street. Some people find it in being overly fixated on entertainment. Some people get it from doctors. Some people find it in overeating.

Let’s not be too cruel to the messenger here. If we overuse marijuana or use it for frivolous things, it’s a smoke signal. Not trying so hard to hide it might teach us many, many things. As well as letting it be there for the cases where it’s actually a valid medicine, in accordance with God’s will — where it is not a replacement for the mercy of God but rather a testament thereto.

To the tune of billions, we the people fund sanctuary cities. Judges will do their part to protect the cash flow:

Reagan is no pothead. He is one of the greatest presidents.

Bill Clinton is a pothead. He is criminally demented.

Brackish Homobama is a pothead. He was worse than Carter.

Trump is no pothead. He is on the verge of surpassing Reagan.

Yeah, I’ll grant that the insane clown potsies can reach the top, given the examples above. But given those examples, the insane clown potsies are proven failures. And the non-potsie presidents are towering figures in human history.

Sessions is following Federal Law. That is his Job as AG.

The Legislature should change the Law and let the States decide if they want to Legalize Marijuana which of course is the Constitutional thing to do.

The current Law is completely Unconstitutional, so the States where it has been “legalized” should file Suit and appeal all the way to the SCOTUS.

After all it worked for Gay Marriage, except for that Constitution thingy that was ignored and trampled on by the Star Chamber SCOTUS.

This isn’t about AG Sessions, it is only about upholding the Constitution and with that the future of our Republic.

Notice the term here is “pothead” — not the same as “marijuana user.”

Let’s not equate them by some sleight of rhetoric.

That’s mere political correctness. We all know what Trump thinks of that.

PC sucks, especially here on FR.

Not sure what your point is. Do you support the expansive Commerce Clause, or do you support those who tell fed-gov to go to hell when it overreaches?

That’s mere SCIENTIFIC correctness... fixed it for you.

And Donald Trump is definitely in favor of scientific correctness.

You are only exercising a contrary form of PC.

One can tell what the toxic weed does to the brain when the whole focus of the life of the user is about what the Constitution does or does not say... about a toxic weed.... Obama is enough of a reason/cause to outlaw the common usage of a ‘weed’.... H E L L O!!!!

My point is simple.
Can the States ignore federal law with no repercussion?
Yes/No/Maybe?
(marijuana ok; sanctuary city not ok)

So you are a "user"...give it some time and you will be a "pothead."

Been there...done that.

Pot is bad mojo.

The preachers SHOULD take over the Republican party, when they are preachers of Christ and not of religiosity... and for that matter they should take over the Democrat party too.

God has a far more generous view than the pinched minds of party aficionados, both left and right as we know them.
