The preachers SHOULD take over the Republican party, when they are preachers of Christ and not of religiosity... and for that matter they should take over the Democrat party too.
God has a far more generous view than the pinched minds of party aficionados, both left and right as we know them.
If you wish to live in a theocracy go right ahead. The founders had other ideas...
