Trump thinking about making Pompeo national security adviser, shipping McMaster to Afghanistan

President Trump is looking at shifting CIA Director Mike Pompeo to the White House as national security adviser, according to a report Wednesday evening.
The move would bump H.R. McMaster, the current national security adviser. McMaster, a three-star Army general, would in turn be sent to Afghanistan to command U.S. forces in that country, the New York Times reported, citing several unnamed administration officials. The move could help McMaster earn his fourth star.....

Maybe Trump should look into guys McMaster recently fired. For one thing, being fired by him is a kind of good endorsement.:-)
Anyway Afghan assignment is perfect for him. He has been pushing for sending additional 4000~5000 troops there. Obviously he cares about that place.

I agree with moving McCains’s boy to Afghanistan. However, Pompeo says he believes “Russia interfered” in the election, whatever that means. Maybe that would not be a problem in the NS Advisor job. But who would run the CIA?
