s President Trump announced his support for the Reforming American Immigration for a strong Economy Act (RAISE), proposed by Senators David Purdue (R-GA) and Tom Cotton (R-AR), fellow Republicans in the Senate blasted the bill for its provisions in cutting legal immigration by half.

“Unfortunately, the other part of this proposal would reduce legal immigration by half, including many immigrants who work legally in our agriculture, tourism and service industries,” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said in a statement.

He continued, “South Carolina’s number one industry is agriculture, and tourism is number two. If this proposal were to become law, it would be devastating to our state’s economy, which relies on this immigrant workforce.”

Restaurants and coastal resorts strongly support Senator Lindsey Graham through political financial contributions.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) also voiced strong support for his state’s major industries as a chief factor in opposing any future cuts in legal immigration.

Both senators are significant proponents of mass immigration into the United States.

[”including many immigrants who work legally in our agriculture, tourism and service industries”]

Well, if these people have skills and can speak English and meet the rest of the criteria, then nothing is stopping them from coming here.

Lindsey you lame brain anti-patriotic blowhard, it is about the whole country, not just South Carolina, and SC deserves a far better senator than you.

This country has the highest rate of non-working adults out of the labor force, since the early 1970’s - yet we somehow still need more workers from overseas - and more welfare too.

Weird...

Get rid of all welfare and force the inner-city scum to work the farms or in tourist jobs. Why are we paying people to sit on their @sses all day yet still bring in foreigners?

Lindsey now knows that there will be a place where his skills will be useful after he gets primaried - picking produce.

I looked into immigration laws of New Zealand in case we got the first women president in the form of the Hilda-beast.

NZ requires you must pass THEIR English test, and bring with you minimum $1.5 Million to invest in NZ. If you have skills urgently needed in NZ and a job offer in that field, the money requirement is waived.

Graham is an idiot. Wages would go up (because employers would have to raise them) and unemployment would go down as workers not attracted to “immigrant” wages but still among the least skilled would step up to fill agriculture and tourism jobs.

Tom Cotton is for it.

Lindsey Graham is against it.

That’s easy.

I’m for it.

He failed to mention why a non-immigrant guest worker program would not provide the necessary labor without granting them permanent residency.

Ms. Linda is thinking of H1B; H2B visas, he has his head up McLame’s butt so far he doesn’t know where he is 99.9% of the time...why does SC keep voting this idiot back in? Don’t they know they are missing their ‘Villiage Idiot’ in their State???

He’s spouted so many cliches and self-fulfilling prophecies he can’t keep them straight even when they contradict each other.

Graham (paraphrasing): ‘We have a lot of tourism and agricultural jobs that will move overseas if cheap immigrant labor is curtailed.’

Um, Senator, if someone is working trash pickup detail at the Grand Canyon or is mowing grass at Mount Vernon - HOW THE HELL CAN THOSE JOBS MOVE OVERSEAS?

If someone is picking apples in Washington state I ask again - HOW THE HELL CAN THOSE JOBS MOVE OVERSEAS?

What a tool.
