Democrats, after analyzing their miserable 2016 showing, found voters didn’t know where the party stood on key economic issues. Starting now, they want to build an economic identity so that their candidates can run next year on something more than just opposition to President Trump.
The pressure point, however, is crafting an agenda that balances the needs of energizing anti-Trump liberal activists without driving away centrist voters and Republicans disillusioned with the president and the lack of results coming from the GOP-led Congress.
Without winning a significant bloc of Republican voters in next year’s Senate races, Democrats will fall deeper into the minority and find it difficult to win back the majority in 2020.

Veteran Care; Border Wall; Immigration; Lower Welfare bums; no free food stamps; no free housing; Get a job to enforce the economy; get along with Foreign Countries instead of starting wars with them; and a good Health Care Bill that doesn't take all the Citizens money...

What is their platform? Trannies in the military? More refugees? Open borders? More socialized medicine? Taking guns away from police? More riots from BLM and SJW groups?
I’m sure the moronic 20-something millennials will eat it up, but what about hte people who actually work and pay taxes and want a safe neighborhood?

The Democratic Party was founded in 1828. Here we are in 2017 with only 11 years to go before we get to witness a 200 year Dem Birthday Party.
We are also about 15 months from an important election that the Dem Party is expected to participate in.
OK. So what’s the big deal?

Hello Dems. Is anybody home? You’ve had 189 years to define an economic identity and you’re still working on it? That hard to believe.
In fact it’s a lie. The truth is you already have one. It was well documented by Marx and Engels and tested many time in many countries over the years. North Korea is one of those countries. Why not model your “new” economic identity after NK.
What we will get instead is Trump-Lite for the poor, the Gay, the Tranys, the illegal but still voting in big numbers illegal aliens, and all the rest of the usual Dem Suspects.

Just from the tone of that you can tell that the Washington Post thinks it’s job is to return Democrats to the majority and keep them there forever.
Just remind everyone that NO Democrat has said ANYTHING concerning all this ‘antifa’ thing.

They might “look to” but they can “look” all they want because they don’t have anything else except The “BITTER” deal.
The Democrats are not in a box. They need to go with their roots, go with what they instinctively know - go LEFT! HARD LEFT! Make Karl Marx proud. With a hard left message they will finally win the voters they know they’re entitled to. They just have to have the courage to do what they know will put them over the top.
It’s not like they are going to fool anybody if they were to suddenly start talking about American values. And if they did they are likely to turn off their sick, racist base. That would result in an even bigger routing than they’ve ever experienced.

if the Democrat party really wants to show what they stand for, the head of the party needs to hold up the book, Rules for Radicals and to declare that book as their party guide. Anything short of that is, as we all know, just more lies.
Their only hope is to lie about what they believe and con voters.
