Wow!
Mueller can follow the trail..and the money laundering thread it unravels.
Of course russia tried to Influence the election.US does it all the time.
Mueller is looking for cooperation...and that involves investigating money laundering
But hey..be ignorant on the subject. I dont care
Btw..trump jr goes to a meeting where he expects govt intel about clinton in order to help the election...and people in that meeting have been accused of money laundering..and being connected...and you people want to claim Mueller cant Investigate the money laundering aspect..Jesus..ask someone in the doj or fbi about it.. because you really really dont understand
I couldn’t if I had it. That’s the point. Neither can Sessions’ critics. If it is happening it is leakproof.
BTW Buzzfeed today had an article on hiw Sessions is destroying the Obama egacy!
Betrayal? When was that? When Sessions failed to inform the President of his recusal? Perhaps carelessness is a little more apropos.
cowardice...
That's a very strong word, not to be tossed around cavalierly. When someone uses it, they should probably go to the trouble of presenting an example. Perhaps the word timidity could be used—arguably—but cowardice? You might need to settle down a little.
and the innocent persecuted while the guilty are untouched
That comment is the height of presumption, given the necessary time frames to make such determinations. Who are these "innocents" that are being persecuted by Jeff Sessions? Are you referring to his desire to enforce federal marijuana laws, and expand the use of Civil Asset Forfeiture? If so, then you might be making a minor point.
If you are not outraged by that, it speaks toward your character, not mine.
That's a bit much. I myself am not totally "sold" on Sessions' efficacy yet, but it's highly likely that there is a middle ground between the idea that he's God's gift to the AG job, and the notion that he's a betraying coward and those who aren't outraged at his behavior are of questionable character...
First, I was under the impression that the Attorney General of the US was to enforce ALL the laws of the U.S. government, not just some. Last I looked, there were both federal weed laws and asset forfeiture laws for drug cases.
Second, while it could be argued that he should prioritize which ones he spends time and resources on, we DO NOT KNOW what he spends time and resources on. We only know what he says in public he is spending time and resources on.
Let me put it this way:
Suppose you took over an agency with about 300 employees, of which a good 250 were holdovers from the previous boss who not only disagreed with you but made it clear they would obstruct any criminal activity against the previous boss. That would leave you with 1/6th your workforce to prosecute the previous boss or his allies. You CANNOT make this known to the other 250 people. Quite the contrary, since you know they not only will make it public, they will aggressively obstruct. You cannot replace them because Congress hasn’t approved all your nominations.
So, you have two separate problems. The first is you must conduct a secret investigation on extremely limited resources without EVER referencing it in public to “buck up” the troops (that, apparently around here, need a lot of bucking up). However, to conduct such an operation with vastly fewer personnel and lower resources increases the time this operation takes exponentially.
The second issue is you MUST do something with the remaining 250 employees. They must have something to do, both to keep them busy NOT looking into your secret team and because, well, they are getting paid. So you do Medicaid Fraud. Illegal immigration/gangs. Weed. Asset forfeiture. The latest? Affirmative action in colleges. Personally, I have no problem with these UNLESS YOU CHANGE THE LAW. Otherwise, don’t whine. But it is necessary to make everyone think DOJ is doing all these things (which it is) to conceal it’s real secret work.
Jeff Sessions Justice Department is coming after crooked docs prescribing opioids, pill mills
Jeff Sessions' asset forfeiture plan is a return to the storm-trooper days of anti-drug frenzy
Senate Committee Ignores Sessions, Protects Medical Marijuana
Both of you ignore the basic premise of what is going on here:
- Jeff Sessions surrendered the power of his office, turned it over to a man hostile to the President, who promptly appointed a Special Counsel that was partially orchestrated by a corrupt and crooked FBI chief, and now the President is under full assault of nothing less than a media/legal/political coup d'etat attempt.
And on top of ALL of that, Sessions is doing nothing to go after the real criminals. Where do I even start to describe their crimes? Racketeering. Money laundering. Bribery. Treason. And possibly even Murder.
You seem to think this is a game. You will deny it, but you do. You think that the political theater will all be played out, and all will be sunshine and roses in the end. You fail to see that we are inches away from a political catastrophe in this nation, and possibly even Civil War.
And through it all, we have Jeff "Recuse" Sessions, who is going through herculean motions in hapless attempt to appear busy and to be "doing something." He is like the goldbrick whose boss walks in on him surfing the Internet, and grabs stacks of papers and pretends to talk on the phone. Sessions will try anything: marijuana, asset forfeiture, opioid, revitalizing the D.A.R.E. program. Is Sessions running for First Lady or Drug Tsar now?
I wouldn't be surprised if he took on the Fast Food industry next, and started counting calories on the menu.
ANYTHING but do his job. Fire Steve Wasserman at DOJ? Never. Haul Clapper, Rice, and Brennan before a Grand Jury? Perish the thought. Fire Mueller for conflict of interest? You have to be kidding.
I don't get people who are defending Sessions. Don't you see what is happening? Is he a colleague or relative? Is it a "southern pride" thing? What?
If Sessions is not fired, move, or forced to resign, things are only going to worse.
Much, much worse.
Just stop.
“And on top of ALL of that, Sessions is doing nothing to go after the real criminals. Where do I even start to describe their crimes?”
YOU. DON’T. KNOW.
If I knew, I wouldn’t/couldn’t tell you. But
YOU. DON’T. KNOW.
You’re going by public news reports, which are nothing more than lies. Have it your way. Please don’t respond to me again.
Same to you.
The Liberty Tree is parched.
Robert Mueller is saying to Trump --IN YO FACE!!! THE FIX IS IN!!!
Trump has to nullify and get rid of Mueller and his Democrap gangster/lawyers. Or Trump Administration is doomed. Or Trump will see family members caught up in this and probably prosecuted for.
You have absolutely NO way of knowing this. How profoundly presumptive of you.
I didn't realize you were a psychic!
Within a few months, you'll either look like one, or you'll be eating massive crow. Personally, I hope for the latter...
Believe me, if Jeff Sessions suddenly became a man again, regained his courage, displayed integrity, and actually started arresting and charging Obama/Hillary/Clapper/Rice/Brennan/Wasserman-Shultz/Comey/Lynch/Holder/Abedin/McCabe/Powers - I would eat crow and applaud.
However, I don't see things turning around.
Expect things to get worse. You heard it here first.
To me, anything that happens with regard to the Clinton crime family will be a bonus. Right now, I just want to focus on the Trump presidency being a success and for those who are paying attention, Trump is getting a lot done with regard to his agenda in spite of all the enemies arrayed against him.
Anyway, I wish you luck in your Saturday meeting with Bannon at the WH. I know you will probably not be able to divulge everything publicly but let us know what you can talk about.
One thing I would bring up is why doesn't Trump do a prime time national address? I think that would be very effective way to get his message and agenda out to the American people. Tweets, by nature, have to be short and snappy and just don't have the substance of a major policy speech. I know he does his rallies (another one coming up in WV tomorrow) that are picked up by FoxNews and others much of the time but nothing will get more attention than a prime time speech from the Oval Office in which all the networks will likely be compelled to stream live. I think he will win a lot more people over with that approach. I know it's old, dying media but there are still millions out there watching regular television who might not know the first thing about accessing Twitter or Facebook and still get their news from the Tom Brokaws of the world.
Yes, I’ll bring that up. It’s a good idea. Maybe he thinks that’s a thing of the past, and he gets more mileage with the rallies.
Interesting his latest is in WV, not in doubt for him, but has two Senators who voted against repeal, Manchin (a true Dem liar-—always appears “conservative” but always votes lib) and Capito, a RINO.
Trump is approaching the “failsafe” point where they can’t do much to him. The economy is rocking so hard, ANY attempt to impeach or otherwise obstruct him is going to start reverberating back big time. Even now in AZ, there is serious heat being put on Flake and a number of “people” say he won’t survive.
I like that idea!!!
The republic: It’s gone Clinton-banana.
Yes that’s what this is about. They know the DNC, Hillary, Obama, DWS, Holder, Lynch are SOOOOOO guilty that they’re making a lot of noise to try and keep all that from being investigated and acted upon.
When and if it actually does, it will be labeled by them as nothing more than retaliation and pimped by their whores in the media as such.
THE DNC RICO operation has been growing tentacles for a long, long time.
Simple solution. Verify
National address, executive order of the appointments of outside council, to investigate every attorney on the Mueller team.
Trust but verify.
How many of Mueller’s minions does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: 16. One to hold the light bulb, four to turn the ladder around, and one to hold the refrigerator door open, and ten to investigate what there is to investigate and report back to Mueller and then investigate for him.
