Greg Andres is the 16th lawyer to be added to Mueller’s team. He worked under Eric ‘Fast N’ Furious’ Holder from 2010 to 2012.

Via Reuters:

A former U.S. Justice Department official has become the latest lawyer to join special counsel Robert Mueller’s team investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, a spokesman for the team confirmed.

Greg Andres started on Tuesday, becoming the 16th lawyer on the team, said Josh Stueve, a spokesman for the special counsel. Most recently a white-collar criminal defense lawyer with New York law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, Andres, 50, served at the Justice Department from 2010 to 2012.

I am not talking about the fact that legal cases can take time. You are debating the wrong thing. I am talking about the fact that Sessions surrendered the authority of his office within days of the Administration so that Trump is being persecuted and thwarted, on top of the fact that Sessions refuses to do his job. Sessions is not investigating Obama, Hillary, Clapper, Rice, Brennan, Comey, or any of them. Case in point with how bad things are, the brother of Debbie Wasserman- Schultz at DOJ, Steven Wasserman, is the one assigned to her case! And Sessions does NOTHING about this. The faith and trust of the American people is being raped and violated. There is not much time to reverse this either. You want time to stall. We don’t have it.

It isn’t a simple investigation. You know like...Did X murder Y. Or Did X rob the store. Or did X write a bad check.

This investigation necessarily involves money laundering investigations. That is a complex investigation and necessarily involves looking at all real estate transactions. One key way that Russians launder money is through real estate.

Think of it as a RICO investigation. It is that kind of in depth look at the connections investigation.

This team is the same one you would put together to investigate Clinton if you could. (well..except that they are Hillary supporters). So if you are investigating Clinton you wouldn’t want obvious Clinton Supporters, right? Same is true of Trump. You don’t want it laden with Trump supporters.

The bigger question for me here is why isn’t there a Clinton investigation. Perhaps there is..just behind the scenes. And it is an investigation that can take years..unless you have a powerhouse team like Mueller’s that might shorten the time frame.

Personally, I think Clinton is too big to take down. It would take it all down from both sides.

It is foolhardy for Mueller to stack the investigation with so many Dem thugs. If this group of bozos ever publish a report, Trump’s team of super attorneys will turn the whole thing into a turkey shoot. You don’t think they haven’t already done extensive background on each of them?

We are now paying for SIXTEEN #AntiTrump #ProClinton #ProObama lawyers to bring down our President?

Trump is being set up by democrat enemies and bureaucrats to be politically assassinated.

People, arise. Stop this NOW.

why do they need lawyers ? shouldn’t they be hiring investigators ?

Excellent question. You need investigators when there are crimes. You need lawyers to make up crimes.

Republicans are beyond stupid. Every time they have power they cede it to the democrats who use every trick, tactic and power grab they can.

I despise republicans. I despise the media. I despise democrats.

Drain the swamp, Trump. Drain the swamp.

Prediction...after endless months of much ado about nothing, Manafort will be the designated fall guy....to prove the worth of the million$ of taxpayers' dollars that will be paid to the Democrat blood-sucking, hired-gun law firms whose job it is to find someone, anyone (connected in any way to Trump) to indict.

Sessions was a total let down as far as I’m concerned.

The democrats called him a racist for weeks during confirmation and he immediately threw our President under the bus.

Eff Him.

Think of it as a RICO investigation.

What is the basis for giving the Trump businesses a complete inspection by a special prosecutor? No one came forward before the election and said Trump is doing shady deals. If they throw enough lawyers at it, I am sure they will find some techical violations or possibly find a crook within his orginaztion. They had nothing on Trump's real estate businesses prior to the election. Why do you think they had to go the bimbo eruption route to try and smear Trump?

Let’s all hope and pray that the dirt on all these despicable, corrupt, self-serving, bottom-feeding RATs will be exposed as well as the dirt on GOP vermin. Gitmo needs to be filled. The RATs and Deep State will look like cats trying to cover their feces in their DC litter box with no litter. Scratching and scratching the bare bottom of their box hopelessly trying to cover their feces!

Mueller has to and Rod Rosenstein for appointing him. And Sessions for being a weak sister and recusing himself which led to Rosenstein getting the opportunity to hire Mueller.

“Way past time for President Trump to FIRE all responsible for this insane WITCH HUNT!!!”

That’s what I want too, when I let my anger and frustration rule my thoughts.

But there’s this other voice reminding me that Trump is nobody’s fool and there’s nothing I know about his predicament that he doesn’t know better.

If it was as easy as firing people, or Sessions not having recused himself, then Trump would certainly have fired people and Sessions would have un-recused himself.

Trump has thought about this from every angle and clearly he has rejected the feel-good reaction of simply firing Mueller and team - at least for now.

I still trust that Trump is dealing with this in the best possible way, and that there’s plenty I don’t know about. I’ll go one step further; Jeff Sessions is not weak and he’s no sell out. To me it appears that he and Trump are in the middle of a balancing act like the game Jenga and they are looking for weak spots, pulling out sticks without knocking the whole tower down.

Remember, Trump is in charge here - if he really wanted Sessions to do something different than he’s doing, it would already have been done.

More likely, Trump sees some downside to choosing this moment to fight back, and he sees some benifit from the appearance that he is on the verge of being caught in the Democrats web.

Some possibilities: Allowing this witch hunt showcases for the public how dishonest and childish the left has become, how blatantly partisan the mass media has become. Allowing this charade motivates his base supporters, it puts his enemies off guard and provides a distraction from what his other hand is doing.

Perhaps most important, allowing this clown show to continue puts the lie to any notion that Trump is impulsive, vindictive, temperamental, authoritarian. The entire attempt to portray Trump as a Hitler, an abuser of power, is fast going out the window.

As long as Trump’s enemies think they have him trapped, they won’t see him as a threat.

For all we know, Trump might be orchestrating the greatest rope-a-dope disinformation campaign of all time.

Popcorn?

“It seems as if Mueller is baiting Trump to fire him.”

....and it seems as if many of the FReepers on this thread are begging Trump to take the bait.

Thank God Trump can smell a trap.

“Republicans are beyond stupid. Every time they have power they cede it to the democrats....”

If you drop the meaningless Republican vs. Democrat labels, and replace them with something more meaningful, like Patriots vs Swampists, then the equation changes: the Patriots aren’t even close to having power.

So, it’s not that the Republicans are stupid, ceding power to the Democrats, it’s that most of them are Republicans-in-Name-Only; they don’t want the swamp drained anymore than the Democrats do.

First you are wrong. NONE of the stuff he is investigating them on is “Russia.” So no, he didn’t surrender anything.

Second, you find time to do what you want-—IF you want convictions. I’m starting to think a lot of you just want a show indictment that doesn’t result in anything. That’s not the goal. The goal is a case that sticks.

As I keep saying, the very FIRST indictment is the most important because if it’s weak, the rest are all suspect.

psy·cho·sis
sīˈkōsəs/
noun
  1. a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality.
"According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

Most of the activity of the department [KGB] was to compile huge amount / volume of information, on individuals who were instrumental in creating public opinion.  Publisher, editors, journalists, uh actors, educationalists, professors of political science.  Members of parliament, representatives of business circles.

Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups:  those who would tow the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to positions of power through media and public manipulation;  [and] those who refuse the Soviet influence in their own country would be character assassinated OR executed physically, come Revolution.  "

Well, first you (and those who think like you) need to tell me what "it" is. You are throwing around terms like guilty, flip, etc., but guilty of what? Flip about what?

Last I checked, none of the following are crimes: meeting with Russian ambassadors, having legitimate business dealings with Russians, running for president against the political-media establishment, talking to Russians. The Left has been whining about "McCarthyism" for over 60 years, but what is being done to President Trump, his family and many of his associates makes so-called McCarthyism look like a child's game in comparison.

This is an obvious coup attempt disguised as some kind of investigation which, itself, is based on a total lie. But you go ahead and keep salivating at the prospect of "flips" while our Constitutional Republic goes down in flames.
