Later this year unless President Trump intervenes the American people will get access to the last of thousands of secret government files about a turning point in the nations history: the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The National Archives this week released several hundred of the documents, which come from CIA and FBI files, and of course, JFK researchers are scrambling to see whether they contain any new clues about the presidents murder. But many more documents remain under seal, awaiting release by this October, the 25-year deadline set by the 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act.
The law gives only one person the president the ability to stop the release from happening. He can act only if he certifies in writing that the documents would somehow endanger national security.

The only problem is that it isn’t true that he hated this system of government. Zero proof of any of that.
Hinckley had a motive as bizarre as it was. Oswald had NO motive.
My guess is none have even read much of the Warren Report and, of course, even if they had wanted to much of it was either not released or buried in the mountain of BS.
Of course your kids and grand kids don’t care because it has nothing to do with Kim Kardashian...eventually the truth comes out, no matter what. It will take years though. Who cares? The Boomers care.

No, the “bag” LHO took into work was estimated to be the size of a grocery bag about 2 feet long. The assembled gun was about 40 inches long and had a scope attached.
The gun would have been better used as a club than as a sniper rifle.
BTW it was “overlooked” for a couple of hours.
It was common practice in 1963 and before for agents to meet in dark movie theaters. Oswald was instructed to make his way over to the movie theater after the shooting to receive further instructions. He was set up and arrested there. At that point he must have known something had gone terribly awry. Also there is a controversy about the perp of the Tippet shooting. Nothing is clear cut.
James R. Hoffa ALSO knew too much and was “eliminated” in 1975 probably by the Giacalone family in Detroit. In 1975 there began a renewed interest in reopening the JFK case which indeed culminated in the HSCA inquiry...
After the death of Trafficante his lawyer described carrying a message to him and Marcello from Hoffa. It was the JFK should be killed. When the message was given them he said that they looked at each other with a look that meant they took it seriously and was no joke.
After it was done Marcello said Hoffa owed him BIG TIME.
you clearly don’t know shit about my kids. But thanks for playing anyway.
What, precisely, was Oswald's motive? What was his purpose in going to Mexico? What was Oswald's plan after shooting Kennedy? Why did he go from the TSBD to the Paine house, shoot Tippit, and then to the Texas Theater? Why didn't Oswald surrender at the scene or go directly to the Greyhound station near the TSBD so as to leave town? Are we really to believe that mob associate Jack Ruby shot Oswald because of a sudden patriotic impulse?
Granted, like the middle of a bad detective novel, we seem to have too many plausible suspects. In the 70s, the House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded that Oswald shot Kennedy as part of a plot that involved the Mafia, motivated by Bobby Kennedy's attacks on organized crime and the Teamsters. At least two Mafia figures (Johnny Roselli and Sam Giancana) turned up dead just after being identified as witnesses by the HSCA. Pure coincidence? Then why does a friend of mine who is from Tampa and related to Santo Trafficante confide that "Uncle Santo" was involved in the assassination?
Later revelations about CIA financial support for a violent Cuban emigre group led Robert Blakely, the former HSCA staff director, to urge that the investigation be reopened. As Blakely saw it, the CIA had lied about its role in the events leading to the assassination.
One Cuban exile who worked for the CIA (Antonio Veciana) claimed that he saw his CIA contact talking with Oswald before the assassination. A session with a sketch artist led to the disputed identification of senior CIA officer David Atlee Phillips as that contact, under the cover name of Maurice Bishop. Based on private information of absolute reliability, I know that identification was correct.
Of course, there are connections to LBJ as well. For a grand unified theory of the assassination, we have E. Howard Hunt's tape-recorded deathbed confession to the effect that he was a benchwarmer in the JFK plot, which originated with LBJ and relied on the Mafia and the CIA.
As Kennedy's trip to Dallas was being planned, LBJ learned that he was going to be dropped from the ticket and prosecuted for corruption arising out of the Billie Sol Estes case. Funny how that worked out. Was LBJ just lucky that day in Dallas, with his course being redirected from prison to the Oval office? For motive by the CIA, it should be noted that Kennedy smoked marijuana and had daily meth injections, engaged in compulsive, reckless womanizing, which included an East German agent, had improper contacts with the Soviets, and secretly agreed to protect Castro and to eliminate US nuclear missiles from Turkey. In the context of the Cold War, this suggested high treason or at least a lack of fitness for office.
I make no claim for certainly as to what happened in Dallas beyond a deep distrust of the Warren Commission and its conclusion that Oswald was the lone gunman. There is too much that points toward a wider conspiracy.
bumpable
Sorry for the generalizations...
I worked (indirectly) for the Giacalone family of Detroit in the late 1970’s. After Hoffa disappeared, the FBI came to our facility (which will remain nameless) and interviewed us about this, that and the other. Hoffa was a clear enemy of the Kennedy brothers and he knew it all, so, he HAD to disappear and he did.
Laz, what did the MIB tell you??! Huh??? You stay in NYC! Look what happens when you venture out.
No problem. My wife and I had two each when we married. Amazing,m all sharp good jobs good spouses etc. And they stay out of jail, may bottom line.
But only one is political, my own blood, and she’s a flaming liberal “Dad how could you even believe that!” is her most common phrase when we talk.
But noe of them are into things like Kennedy assassination or even world war two. I was a history major and i think we should all have more knowledge of the important occurances in world and US history, but they just don’t care about it and 3 of them don’t want to hear any political issues. I told them I am 70 and riding into the sunset and it is their world now and they need to pay attention. They are all in CA and look at the mess that’s in. But their lives are smooth and they do well, so I guess “don’t bother them” with unpleasantness. Some day money, or immigration or crime will slap them in the face and maybe they will pay more attention.
Remember a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged.
LHO had plenty of motive from simply being a Communist or Marxist and yes, it can not be proven beyond certainty, I believe Marina thought he shot at the extreme right-wing politician Scott Walker, there was some Marine shot out in the boonies where LHO was stationed in the Philippines, Oswald had a bad discipline record going back to his school days.
Oh for Gods sakes
What are talking about? Had you not read in the times of the "Red Scare" and the HUAC, Oswald moved to the Soviet Union?
It seems to me that Oswald was an Intelligence “dangle” after having been taught Russian and starting to build a “legend” in the Marine Corps. There was a spate of phony defectors around that time.
For what it is worth the KGB also thought he was a dangle as well and treated him as such.
The CIA denied this but it lies as easily as breathing (see Dulles’ admission that agents would lie even under oath). KGB lies just as easily, so do we believe them both, one, neither.
It is of interest that upon return Oswald was not de-briefed
at a time CIA de-briefed everyone coming from the USSR. Why?
Once he returned to the US there was no contact (according to the WCR which is full of lies) with the KGB.
Oswald not only had no motive but had expressed regard for the Kennedy family. He also knew how the system works when making the statement that, after JFK’s death, his place would be taken by LBJ who would continue his policies.
This truth destroys the ideological underpinning of the theory that he did it for political reasons. No wonder he could not be allowed to talk.
Marina’s testimony has been all over the lot as time passed, likely because of the FBI intimidation and threats of deportation. Her account of the Walker killing has internal contradictions which make it of little use.
Let’s pretend that she was speaking truthfully that Oswald told her he had “buried” the rifle after taking the shot. Of course, this tale impacts the ability of the rifle to make the shots at JFK. Now not only is the rifle taken hundreds of miles without a case between N.O and Dallas, but it has to have been cleaned after being dug up. (Of course, Oswald may not have dug it up) Then it has be be properly sighted as well. And it never was.
Another complicating factor for the theory is his alleged inability to hit a stationary target at a shorter distance than the world class shooting from the TBD.
Since JFK and Walker were deadly enemies and represented opposite ends of the political spectrum, it is unlikely that he would have shot both. In fact, it is ludicrous. JFK had relieved Walker of the US Army European Command after he passed out literature to the troops which was racist.
