President Trump has opted to remove Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director, as first reported by The New York Times.
Scaramucci's removal comes 10 days after his appointment to the role, a move which caused significant shakeups in Trump's White House.
The New York Times reported Monday that new White House chief of staff John Kelly requested Scaramucci's ouster, three people close to the decision told the newspaper.
Kelly reportedly made clear to White House staff members that he will be in charge there following Trump's announcement he would be chief of staff last Friday.
The Times reported that it is not clear whether Scaramucci will remain at the White House in another position or if he will leave Trump's administration entirely.
Some Twitter users on Monday voiced joy that Scaramucci, a former Wall Street financier, is already out of Trumps White House.

I must be odd man out because I really liked the guy. His loyalty and love of the President was above question and I liked the idea of President Trump having someone to talk to
The job required a certain amount of class which was obviously lacking in Scarr. Hope Sean comes back.
Sorry but this administration appears to be in disarray. I hate to spout a leftist talking point, but....
That was fast. And completely predictable - the remarks from his interview made him sound like he either needed serious time in a rehab or on a psychiatrist’s couch. These people need better vetting before the hires.
Here’s a possible explanation: maybe Trump is striving to achieve a more Christian, respectable, God-fearing tone in his immediate personnel, and Scaramucci failed to meet the bar in his recent profanity-laced interview. Scaramucci sounded more like a foul-mouthed Democrat.
I don’t know. Just a thought.
That was short.

I hate admitting it too, but it is. This will dominate the news this entire week. Forget about the Awad/DNC mess ever having a chance to be reported.
He, apparently, couldn’t do the fandango.
I like Scaramucci and I think his heart is in the right place when it comes to defending the President but ever since his appointment was announced he's been out of control.

I would say so; and, I’d wager Melania is on that track now, too...she may have chimed in.
Apparently Anthony scared a few too many “Muchies”.
But there can be only one Alpha wolf. One person, and one person alone, has the ear of the President.
Jared and Ivanka may be on thin ice. There may have to be a little sacrifice all around.
“Scaramucci’s removal comes 10 days after his appointment to the role”
I have a lot of patience for executive management. But 10 days? With turnover at that pace, Trump needs to explain why. With a good reason in hand, I can perhaps understand. Otherwise, it would only appear to be bad management.
Six threads, and counting.
Why isn’t this in BREAKING NEWS?
Trump likely prepared with a qualified, less impaired individual to fill this important position.
Enough with the fandango reference. It’s been played out.
