Boy was that a loaded question from billboard(bored)mag, but not surprised: "...this 'particular' president in office......". Thanks Miranda and keep your word please. Far too many "entertainers" use the stage for a platform for various political reasons. If folks want to get political, they can go to a political rally.

Even staying quiet these days is frowned upon. Taylor Swift was taken to task over her political neutrality last year in not providing a public endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

The liberal fascists just can’t live and let live.

“If you’re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you’re a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we’re morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.” - Alice Cooper

I have just a vague idea of who she is, but good for her. There’s no reason why everything should be tainted with politics. It just isn’t healthy. If I went to her concert and she agreed with me politically, I still wouldn’t want to hear it.

Miranda the Major Babe should have replied to the author’s question thusly: “Hey homo! You wanna know the answer to your wussyfied question? Read the lyrics to my song ‘Gunpowder and Lead’!”

I had free tickets to see Rod Stewart, Unfortunately the “warm-up act” was Cindi Lauper.

She talked more than she sang (grrrr) and when she sang “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” she showed a slide show extolling PLANNED PARENTHOOD. I kid you not. It was awful. As if killing babies is “fun”?

Anyway, Rod was wonderful and even did a tribute to WW2 Vets.

It’s not enough to want to turn everyone into perpetual children. They also want to set themselves up as the ever-benevolent parent figure who knows best and is the only one in the position to decide what’s best for the children they’ve created. That’s the real problem with most of these “do-gooders.” They earn their living from having an endless supply of the helpless. If they permit the helpless to end their helplessness, they’d be out of their cushy jobs. It’s highly self-absorbed, self-centered behavior operating as altruism. Glad to see Miranda not going there.

Draw your own conclusions as to her political leanings. She's also an avid hunter and outdoors-woman.

“I am a 100 percent believer in not ever using the platform that I’ve built for anything other than music, because music to me is an escape from your own reality. I don’t want to go to a show and hear somebody preach about their opinions...

I just want to believe what I believe and be happy, and people can believe what they believe…I don’t ever want to push my opinion on someone because I don’t want them pushing their opinion on me.”

I had never heard of her until I read that statement about performers staying out of politics. Since then, I’ve made a plan to buy some of her music and offer my support.
She (& her ex) wrote a very tender song called “Over You’ many years ago. I will be buying that on a CD soon.

Reba McEntire was on the View after Trump was elected. They tried to get Reba to rag on Trump. She wouldn’t do it!

Lambert’s Little Red Wagon sung by a local gal, age 16.

I like better than the original.
