Far too many "entertainers" use the stage for a platform for various political reasons.

Even staying quiet these days is frowned upon. Taylor Swift was taken to task over her political neutrality last year in not providing a public endorsement of Hillary Clinton.

If she is willing to respect me in that way, I don’t care if she is a Bernie or Hillary voter. Bless this woman. I will attempt to play some of her music in my DJ gigs.

I’m at a jazz club last year pre election here in Toronto. The guest that night is an american with some local players. The guy is talented and music for the evening is enjoyable. No singing just instrumentals. There is banter between the pieces mostly explaining the background of them. Near the end he takes a cheap shot at Trump wishing him ill for the future. Totally ruined the evening for me. He was hawking cds too. He lost that sale from me that instant. I haven’t been back to the club since either.
