Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a television interview that the U.S. must cut the size of its diplomatic force in his country by more than half, from about 1,210 to 455.
Putin said Sunday that the cut will make the size of the U.S. diplomatic mission in his country equal to that of Russia's diplomatic corps in the U.S.
"The personnel of the U.S. diplomatic missions in Russia will be cut by 755 people and will now equal the number of the Russian diplomatic personnel in the United States, 455 people on each side," Putin said in an interview on the Rossiya 1 network.

Over 20 years ago now. But I do remember how amazing it was to be an American at that embassy. They would open the doors in the morning and ask if there were any Americans, and I would just make it through the crowd and past the guard and they shut the door.
Doing the job the American bureaucrats don't want to do.
Include families and that number probably swells to 3000 or more!
President Trump is severely handicapped in making nice with the Russians due to the media and democrats. It used to be that politics stopped at the shoreline.

Congress created this mess, by treating Russia the same as North Korea and Iran when it comes to trade.
This is coming from the same clowns always saying they are for free trade.... The irony!

Overwhelming majorities in both the House (419-3) and Senate (98-2) voted for sanctions. There’s always an agreement when it come to starting a war…but how about repealing Obamacare? No way, can’t possibly do that.
