DONALD Trump ‘is to order a military strike against North Korea within a year’ after Kim Jong-un’s military boasted it had fired a ballistic missile capable of hitting the US.
Senior military sources in Washington have reportedly claimed Pentagon officials have laid out plans to obliterate a nuclear weapons facility operating deep within a mountain range inside the rogue state.
The news comes hours after the US flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean Peninsula in a show of force against North Korea.
The B-1 bombers were escorted by South Korean fighter jets as they performed a low-pass over an air base near the South Korean capital of Seoul before returning to the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
The US Air Force said the mission was a response to consecutive ICBM tests by Kim this month.
Analysts say flight data from the second test conducted Friday night showed that a broader part of mainland America, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of Pyongyang’s weapons.

B1s are beautiful planes which is unusual for a supersonic plane. We used to watch them do touch and goes at Hill AFB in Utah. With the wings extended they look like swans. Very very big swans.
Too bad they never solved many of the ekectronics issues
Although now they know when, where, and with what the strike will occur, they have no idea who’s bringing the potato salad.

They have a plan? The military has a plan for every country and threat. Those plans are updated as needed.
“Having a plan” doesn’t tell you anything about what may happen.

And we could put North Korea into total darkness in a split second. Their power grid would be toast in the snap of a finger.
Trump does not make public what he will do or when. So take this with a grain of salt.
Because its is a lie.
The US is NOT going to go in and do anything. I believe the most significant thing we may do is shoot down any more launched missiles.
And if we try that and it fails, we look like fools.
I cannot for the life of me see any action that can result in more dead South Koreans than North Koreans.
It does not make any strategic sense.
