What the cops say from the scene (widely covered in the German press at this point):
1. The guy is Iraqi....however, he’s been in Germany for 15 years. He came out in the 2002 period.
2. The guy dead was the door security guy...the bouncer.
3. The guy had an automatic weapon. No one says that he had a license...my guess is that it’ll be deemed an illegally acquired weapon.
4. The German cops say they’ve had run-in’s with the guy before but don’t say what kind of activity.
5. All of this occurred at 4:30AM at a disco.
If I were going to take a guess on this...this was some small-time drug-kingpin from the region and the disco had cleaned up on drug sales within the disco...keeping out his dealers. This was intended to be some kind of pay-back. The guy has no connection to asylum or immigration business. As of yet, no one can cite his job or profession, which makes you think he’s some mafia-like player.
Interesting theory there, pepsionice. As always, you bring an informed and detailed view to the situation in Europe. Thanks.
In the US, mafia types bent on revenge do not go on wild suicide missions. A drive-by shooting, yes. A bomb through the window, maybe. But a suicide mission, no, never.
Would an Iraqi mafia-type guy behave all that differently?
The fact he only killed one person does seem to indicate it wasn’t a full scale rabid Muzzie attack.
Your theory seems legit.
This article says 2:30 am, wonder if there’s a timeline available yet, or if other articles you’ve seen have reported 4:30 am, especially since this agenda-driven article was sure to tell us that police “rushed” to the scene.
“The suspect suffered life-threatening injuries in a gunfight with police officers outside the music venue after they had rushed to the scene shortly after the incident around 0230 GMT.”
