END THEM NOW! They shouldn’t be there anyway. Make Congress live by the same laws they pass!

Probably making Congress use Obamacare. They are currently exempt from having to participate.

Not sure of what these Bailouts for Congress members are.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I suspect he’s talking about taxpayers subsidizing their health care plans.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/04/17/do-members-of-congress-pay-for-100-percent-of-their-health-insurance/

Unless they go out on a private exchange, if they get Obamacare in the District, because they make too much for subsidies, “the Obama administration made an exception that allowed them to use the D.C. small-business exchange to receive health-care stipends from their employer (the federal government).

Yes, you read that correctly. The law allows individual congressional offices to be counted as small businesses of 50 or fewer employees.

On the exchanges, members and staff members get an employer (i.e., taxpayer) contribution of 72 percent for their premiums. So this allowed them to receive a similar subsidy as they did under the federal health plan.”

Bravo, Trump! Threaten those useless bastards and follow-up with action unless they actually get some work done.

A MAGA candidate is needed to run against each of the the most egregious members of congress. Imagine if you get President Trump, Rush, Laura Ingraham and others to campaign for the MAGA challenger.

On the other hand I don't know why this strategy failed against Paul Ryno. Unfortunately his constituents to seem to be sitting fat and happy. Either they are tuned out, indifferent, or sitting pretty and don't want their special interest boats rocked. But outside of Wisconsin, this game plan might work.

People seem to have missed the irony of John McCain using the very top shelf of EliteCare ( no waiting, go to the front of the line and only the best for you, sir!) to get the best world class medical treatment by the best of the best brain surgeons at the Mayo Clinic to get out from under brain cancer surgery so he could get back to Washington in record time to vote to keep shafting the American people with crappy ObamaCare

Soon the American people will learn what universal, anything-you-want, whenever-you-want-it Health Insurance really costs.

And they will not be pleased.

Thus fueling the downward spiral of the nation into the abyss.

Congress will fund the gap, no matter what Trump says. And they’ll fund it with borrowed money.

And we’ll go from the most advanced system in the world, to the most expensive, corrupt and inefficient.

This is very important! Not only Congress’ special exemption, but others that have kept Obamacare afloat. Make it hurt the people in power, and things will change.

While the congressional subsidies are great press, the ones I want to see get it in the end are the insurance companies who lobbied for this system, bought out the Congress, and figured they would have a wonderful both sides of the equation i.e. people paying huge fees for coverage and others receiving subsidies thereby increasing their income. What really galls me is most of these are allegedly “not profit based” companies.

If one looks at whom were the biggest lobbyists, it comes down to these insurance companies who were on board from day one. They in fact wrote a good part of the legislation.

When Trump began to mention having companies offer insurance across state lines, they went into cryto ballistic mode for two reasons: first they would actually have to compete and second they would have lost their state paid for “commissions”.

This played out great when the public began to think of health insurance as health care. They are not the same but the notion was pushed by these firms.

I guess I am nor completely sure, based on what I’ve been able to find out, just how Congress “exempted itself.” Some judge ruled back in 2015 that “Congress left the subject vague enough” so as to allow them to buy their insurance through the DC Small Business Exchange ( even though they are not a “small business), but it appears that there is no specific law that enables them to do this. Rather it appears that Obama passed “administrative regulations” that made it possible. If that’s the case, Trump has a lever to either fix the problem or use it to force the Congress to pass the Repeal and Replace. If anyone knows different, or can amplify what I think is the case, I’d love to hear it.

Oh, I am sure those Congress creature have the super-platinum Obamacare plan with very small deductibles and super-fast care, private hospital rooms and the very best physical facilities.

We are paying for it, of course.
