McCain’s Revenge ("He's no hero")
american spectator ^ | Ross Kaminsky

Posted on 07/29/2017 6:53:59 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

For Republicans and our country, turnabout is not fair play.

Senator John McCain waited two years to get his revenge against Donald Trump for saying that McCain is not a war hero. But with a giant middle finger — or more precisely a thumb — McCain, perhaps assuming that he’ll never run for election again, showed Donald Trump that repealing and replacing Obamacare would not be the “so easy” venture that the great “deal-maker” promised.

I understand that these two men don’t like each other. I understand that revenge is a dish best served cold. But by looking to hurt President Trump — which I have no doubt was one motivation of the “maverick” Senator — John McCain cemented his reputation as a politico who always talked a good game and who traded on his former heroism but who in the end was a harmful influence in American politics. (I say cemented because McCain’s reputation had already gone substantially in that direction with his involvement in the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold Incumbent Protection Act — which may not be its official name — his incessant efforts to get and keep America in wars, and his mindless desire to promote “bipartisanship” over principle, party, and, in this case, country.)

In the closing moments of his “triumphant” return-to-the-Senate speech on Tuesday night, Senator McCain said that after the debates and votes on health care reform, he planned to stay in D.C. for a few days managing the Senate approval of the National Defense Authorization Act (“NDAA”), normally a fairly non-controversial process, before returning home for treating for his recently diagnosed brain cancer.

John...you ba*****. Let's just say that your reputation proceeds you.

Shame on you for deliberately trying to harm our nation. God frowns on revenge.

I heard on the radio that John McCain did some sort of FU antics at the podium of the senate. A hand gesture or something. Anyone have any info or insight on that?

McCain just proved that Trump was right when he said McCain was no hero.

I saw several sources that at the time of the vote McTraitor was yucking it up with Chuckie and laughing while
saying “let’s see Donald make America great again now!”

McCain is the poster boy for bringing in term limits. He has proved that he believes his own propaganda about himself being a wise elder statesman.

I’ve been calling Juan an attention whore for years. Now we have to add some adjectives to describe his animus toward President Trump.

Juan is a petty, vindictive attention whore who puts his vindictiveness above the good of the nation.

In the past two or three months, we had Juan delivering the golden showers dossier to Comey at the FBI, and then this week blocking the senate’s attempt to continue working to repeal Obamacare. Pure vindictiveness in both cases.

Which is why he feels so free to pull the pillars down around him on his way out.

A lot of folks do not like "Mike Savage" (Radio Talk Show Host) but he is the only guy that we know that has the really best profile on McShame. Very interesting indeed!

McCain has never been a hero. His entire career has been based off his family’s name. He wouldn’t have been in the Naval Academy without family strings. He wouldn’t have been flying a plane if not for family connections. He never was even close to being a good pilot.

He was a sleazy husband to his wife. He should have gone to jail for Keating 5. He was a pathetic excuse for republican nominee and he’s been a pathetic excuse for a senator. He’s also a warmonger. My guess is he’s made a fortune off his warmongering agenda.

I am fine if they go ahead and bury the pos.

I watched a fair amount of the POW/MIA hearings in the early ‘90s, chaired by John Kerry and Juan was on that committee. Have had a very low opinion of him ever since and he’s done nothing but reinforce that year after year ever since.

I’d give up a boatload of money to see Trump to go to Vietnam and bring back our remaining POWs there. Just to see McCain & Kerry’s reaction.

This is one of the most aggravating videos I’ve ever seen and it was at a Trump rally in DC late last year:

“McCain just proved that Trump was right when he said McCain was no hero.”

McInsane was a lousy pilot. Being captured is not heroic.

McInsane has repeatedly ensured documents about POWs and any attempt at rescue were kept secret such that no POW extraction was ever mounted.

If he had any dignity at all he would retire and allow Gov Doucey to appoint a replacement.

He won’t. Being a Senator is more important to him than his health and his family. Sad.
