Magic Johnson called his shot Thursday night, and he wasnt shy about it. The Dodgers co-owner did not hesitate when he predicted how the team would finish this year.
The Dodgers are going to win the World Series this year, Johnson said. This is our year.
Johnson spoke at Clayton Kershaws annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose event at Dodger Stadium, at which the Dodgers ace currently on the disabled list because of a back injury presented Johnson with the Kershaws Challenge Impact Award, in honor of the charitable work Johnson and his foundation have done.
Get healthy, Johnson told Kershaw in accepting the award. "Lead us.

I live here in Dallas and have routed for the Rangers over the years, but I’m rooting for the Astros to win it this year.
Post season series’ are a crapshoot, Magic.
And he predicted Hillary victory.

I figured it had something do with Nolan Ryan playing for both teams.
Let’s all follow the advice of this AIDS ridden whore monger. He’s a hero, that’s what he is, a real hero.

What has Magic Johnson advised that you to do?
Doesn’t Ervin have some LA gay bars to cruise?
How long should it be before we Cubs fans should be concerned? Hopefully not another 107 years, lol. Current longest MLB droughts are:
1948-Cleveland Indians
1961-Washington Senators/Texas Rangers (never having won a World Series, two Series’ appearances in 2010 and 2011 against San Francisco and St Louis respectively)
1962-Houston Colt 45s/Astros (never having won a World Series, only one trip to the Series and that was against the Chicago White Sox ending the 1917 Black Sox curse drought finally in 2005)
1969-Seattle Pilots/Milwaukee Brewers (never having won a Series, only appearance in 1982 against St Louis Cardinals)
1969-San Diego Padres (never having won a Series and only two Series appearances in 1984 against Detroit Tigers and 1998 against NY Yankees)
1969-Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals (no Series appearances at all, closest was Blue Monday in 1981 against Dodgers in NLCS).
The best team doesn’t always win the World Series.
Maybe. But they’re playing the Giants for the next three games and that last place team always gives them a hard time.
I’ll be surprised if I can get this through to you as FR is in the middle of another of its fits.
Actually, Magic is virtually cured of AIDS. I don’t know how he did it: Prayer, alternative medicine, or just genes, but he does not have the virus that causes AIDS anymore.
Many years back a friend explained to me that Magic had had his blood “boiled” or somehow treated to eliminate the nasty bug that was AIDS. No more details available...SSZ

Is this the NBA Lakers Magic Johnson?
Pay no attention to baseball, but Magic’s name is familiar.
Yes. Magic is the co owner of the Dodgers.
So, is he saying the dodgers are going to trade for Yu Darvish so they’ll have an actual #1 starter?
