Alien Gear Holsters made a post to their Facebook page Thursday morning which was critical of the officer-involved shooting of Antoquan Watson, suggesting that officers shouldnt have shot him so many times.
Antoquan Watson was high on PCP when he opened fire on officers during a vehicle pursuit and then exited his vehicle and started shooting at officers.
In the post to Facebook, Alien Gear Holsters said:
A reasonable and prudent person follows a police officers orders; Angry people sometimes show reluctance, but is it ever okay to shoot someone 45 times?
They then posted a clip of the video, which weve included below.
After getting hammered with criticism for almost 2 hours from pissed-off customers, Alien Gear Holsters deleted their comment and replaced it with a meme with no further comment, as if they are trying to pretend that their previous comment never happened:

According to the full article, seven New Jersey cops fired a total of 69 rounds, 45 of them hit the perp.
Watching the dash cam video, it appears that even after the perp fell, he was still trying to raise his weapon, so several more shots were fired at him while he laid on the ground.
WHAT POSSESSED alien gear holsters to say anything?!
S’what they get for hiring or using a “social media” employee. They make a decent enough product, likely turning a decent enough profit, and then this. Not very informed considering the market they sell to.
Pretty sad really, like their holsters....now the way of Penzey’s spices, domino’s pizza, grubhub, etc.

Yep, he’d a been well done real quick. LOL!
Sometimes shooting at a suspect is just trying to suppress his outgoing fire. Get him ducking and moving, and he is less likely to be able to aim properly.
It is really no different that immediate action on an ambush or an unexpected meeting engagement.
“I believe anyone high on drugs who is shooting at people should be killed to protect the innocent.”
Drugs should be legal, you are just a cop-sucking jack-booted thug loving statist.

I'm more worried where those 24 misses went downrange.
I have one too and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Love bashing Glock shooters.
I just forwarded that article to four cops I know. Hopefully it will go viral.
That guy was anything but “A reasonable and prudent person follows a police officers orders”
That's what I'm wondering. Why hang your hat on this guy?
Did you see all those people down range?
Probably firing 9mm FMJ if they had been using .45 Talon they may not have needed to shoot him so much.
I’m a “Glock” shooter, bash away.
Most folks don’t realize that the history of the Colt 1911 45 caliber pistol came about because the doped up Morro insurgents in the Philippines just kept coming after several hits with the issue 38 caliber pistol.
Alien Gear’s mea culpa on FaceBook:
Alien Gear Holsters would like to apologize to all of those out there that felt an earlier post this morning was anti-police.
Alien Gear Holsters has a long history of supporting our LEOs all around the country. As an example, it has always been one of our policies to offer free rush service to active duty LEOs.
The post was removed immediately once it was brought to our attention that the wording used could be found offensive to those in our police community.
Alien Gear Holsters prides itself on being a staunch supporter of our hard working and brave police officers, and we will continue that support eternally.
Oh, by the way. I’m very happy with my Comp-Tac holster.
I have two, really like them a lot, but now I’m rock’n a Bravo concealment.
Wow, now that was a mad minute.
I hope everyone that views this can try to understand that if you feel emotional excitement or apprehension in watching this, imagine what its like to be in it.
When a pursuit terminates, you can’t just turn off the anger at these idiots like a switch. The officer pursuing in this video actually took it so personal, he did dangerous things to apprehend this guy.
Also, in an urban environment there is no such thing as a safe backstop and the vast majority of times, you have no time to even assess that, as your attention is on the suspect.
If you asked the officer pursuing this guy if he saw the pedestrians on the sidewalk, he would say no, not at all. Tunnel vision happens, its almost unavoidable.
Only if you don't have 46 bullets.
