The highest ranking military officer in the country said that the military’s transgender policy won’t actively change until President Trump sends specific directions to the Pentagon.
“There will be no modifications to the current policy until the president’s direction has been received by the secretary of defense and the secretary has issued implementation guidance,” Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford wrote in a letter.
The letter comes a day after Trump tweeted that he would ban transgender people from serving in the military.
The tweets prompted immediate questions about how a policy change would be implemented for individuals already serving.

Ours is the generations that has as a matter of laws let knowledge be overcome with feelings and nothing good will come from coddling the perverted and insane.
The military is run mostly via paperwork.
Sad that these desk jockeys think this amounts to their own little form of resistance.

That makes sense. Just last year, the military dealt with the shock of the Obama Admin. saying trans were to be permitted.
Now, they have the Trump Admin. saying ‘forget about it’.
They need to be told how this can be done, because individuals will be standing by ready to argue and disrupt in protest. No one (that I’m aware of) saw this coming.
Replace every one of them who stand by this statement.
Obama has polluted the military from top to bottom.

If Trump follows throuh with any transgender restriction or ban, it matters not how carefully crafted the regulations read. The Courts will look to his stupid tweet for the “legislative history” as to what was in the heart of the man who would invidiously discriminate against his fellow man(? - he, she, it)
Makes sense. I’m sure the formal policy change is on its way over to the Pentagon.

No more "Gay Days" celebrations at DoD, the Pentagon, etc.

I’m going to take a guess that you never served in the military, or know how it works.
The President is CINC. He provides specific guidance. Twitter does not count as a formal dictate.
Seems the Joint Chiefs have too much estrogen to understand what Donald Trump said.
This is a standard response. “We don’t move until the boss tells us what he wants.”
I think the hacks at The Hill are trying to pretend the military is mad at Trump. More than likely, most of them are VERY HAPPY.
You can’t change policy because of a tweet.
You have to be given actual orders through channels.
This is silly to even talk about.
